Does anybody have a coupon for the tool chest end cabinet (#68991)? It's the big one with the shelves. Thanks!

If the coupons say "original coupon must be presented" how are so many stores accepting copies? And, can't you just give them the code, without even having the coupon? I seem to recall a conversation along these lines with the cashier at the store near my brother's house.

Last time I was in my HF the cashier told me to save the paper and ink and just show them the coupon code on my phone. I knida sill like to print them though.

Ya know, my printer at home only does black and white. I won't be fooling anyone at the register if they want to see an original coupon.

Also, can you go in there with a stack of ten coupons, all different, or do they limit the number of coupons per customer? I know you can't have two 25% off one item coupons, but what about a 25% off, a 20% off and so forth?

Prolly all depends on how well they know you. I see people all the time use 50 different coupons....I try not to be in line with that guy. :)

They usually enforce the one at a time 20% or 25% off coupons but the cashiers that I know let me use as many 25% offs as I want they just ring them up as a new trasaction for each coupon.

My local store employees are pretty good and helpful. I will go in with several adds, some printed coupons and a couple of magazines. They scan the item and I point to the coupon to use with that item, they scan it and on to the next item. In and out in no time. Some customers on the other hand can't make a simple purchase without calling the manager.

I do this too. I just take a picture of the coupon and show them at the register. They just take down the numbers off the coupon. They are pretty loose about coupons
at HF.

thank you again rslaback, for the coupon and your oppinion.

ive read quite a few times people get to use the 20 or 25% off coupon, either because the cashieer doesnt care or doesnt know. i know more often than not it doesnt work, but what seems slimey about trying to save a extra couple hundred bucks?

I showed up with the 44" Tool Cabinet coupon, an "Insiders Club" coupon, and a 25% off coupon, and the cashier honored all 3 without question. That was last week :).

Heck, she even handed me all 3 coupons back for more purchasing fun! That made me really happy - especially the 25% one!

New guy here. This forum is a great piece of teamwork!
How exactly does one go about using these communal online coupons?

I want to use this coupon
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3601454&postcount=4388

When I printed it out, it is huge. Half the paper.
Larger than the real coupon.

Do the cashiers accept these giant printout coupons?
Or is it better to show the coupon on the smart phone?

The coupon also says "Original coupon must be presented"

I also use huge coupons, I have found that usually they are pretty entertained by the large coupon at my store. If you are in the print preview screen, and select wallet size or whatever instead of one big picture it will print it smaller, which is handier when attempting multiple coupons

Picked up the aluminum step to help wash my truck. Nice piece! Won't rust, small and perfect height. Coupon printed out full page and the staff had quite a chuckle! No problems.

The mailers also say you need to scan it at the store to keep receiving them. :spit:

I've had the cashier scan barcodes off my phone before, but that was an email coupon. Whether or not they know a coupon originated in an email or in print is up for debate.

Harbor Freight got a new POS system last year. The new system will not allow for the coupon to be applied to the items for which they are ineligible. The stories that you are hearing/reading about are from the previous system which relied on the cashier knowing (and caring about) the coupon policy.

In terms of the sliminess, I'm a rules and expectations kind of guy. You know that you are not entitled to use the 25% off coupon on tool chests. You are hoping to take advantage of either the cashier or the system in order to save a few more bucks. Having the other coupons in your back pocket just broadcasts to the cashier and any other customers that you knew that you weren't allowed to use them on the tool chest but had hoped to misuse the system to your advantage and now that you were turned down you are going to play by the rules. If I was a witness to this I would see it as being slimy.

Good evening, my chaps.
I purchased this 26" box for $299 today with the delicious coupon.

The cashier did not care about the print out or the image on my telephone.
Either were acceptable, and she was just interested in entering in the code.

By golly, this chest is quite the Dadgummit bargain.
Enjoy it.
I think about that one myself.

That's the best deal in HF boxes. I have two sets I put the tops under a bench for storage and the bottoms are rolling work tables.

So I learned today that you can't use more than one % off coupon at a time. I tried to use a 25% on one item and a 20% on another item. The manager and cashier moved so quicly to tell me I couldn't do that, I thought they were going to press an alarm button.

This is probably common knowledge, but I just didn't know and didn't see any such stipulation in the fine print on either coupon.

For anyone interested in the Earthquake 1/2" air impact wrench, I picked up one today for $63. I was going to use the $69 coupon, but they had it on sale for $84 and I was able to use a 25% off coupon. Doesn't take much off, but that extra $6 can get you something else on your list.

I got an email from HF and it has some good deals.

The wife couldn't find the USA Weekend section in the paper. I find it and on the back are even better deals on some of the same stuff.

This cart is $109 in the email but $99 in the USA Weekend section of the paper

Could you get a better pic of the $99.00 4 drawer tool cart coupon please?
