Honestly, we need a HF pricing site that tracks pricing history (scrubs their site for normal sale prices) and allows users to enter coupon prices. There are so many times I see a price and think, "hmm, was it any cheaper ever? If so, I'll wait".

Some things that I've done to help with this are:

1. Have all my HF email go to one folder so I have a history of the coupons/sales they send me.

2. Have a folder on my desktop with coupons of products that I'm interested in purchasing.

3. I send myself email with shopping lists that shows the product name, product number, sale price and regular price.

Using these three things, I am able to get a pretty good sense of what I would like to pay for any item I'm interested in. Otherwise, I just come here to The Garage Journal.

You can use that coupon on top of the sale price? In the fine print it says you can't use it on top of another discount. This has probably been asked a gazillion times in this thread, sorry.

Don't think I've ever seen the 56" for less than $699, but I posted a $359 for the 44" several pages back, not sure if it is expired yet or not.

I use 20% or 25% off coupons on sale prices without any issues at all. I've never had a problem. Also, when HF has the 20% off entire purchase, I use a 20% off one item along with tons of other coupons for individual items and then get 20% off everything at the end. I've never had a problem doing this.

Glad I can pass info along to help out. While I have never had an issue at HF, when I do run into someone who starts questioning, I would just say something like, "it seems odd that this coupon is not useable considering most of your tools are on sale all the time." Also, you can always wait, look around for a few minutes and then check out with another HF staff person.

I think I read where one guy was able to buy a 44 for less than $300 using a 20 or 25% off coupon but I think that was several years ago and they might have changed their policy. Particularly since the word got out about the 44s.

The last time I saw the 44" bottom box for $349 was the HF Tent Sale within the past 4-5 weeks, I think.

I bought the complet 44" set one pice at a time with 20% of coupons when thay were on sale. Up untill 3 or 4 years ago the 20% off coupons had no exclusions on them. My set is the flat rinkle finish.

I got a HF sale paper that has the 20 ton press on sale for $169. 99 item number listed is 32879/60603 . The sale starts April 29th to May 12. You should be able to use the 25% off coupon which brings it down to $ 128.00.

Looks like I'm gonna have to buy another one of the red tool carts, seriously impressed with the quality of those things for the $$$$$. Pretty damn heavy duty, ony complaint is the shallow are for prybars, ended up drilling holes in the little tray thats comes with it for bigger bars
