The box coupon I had from dealsoff.com/harbor-freight-coupon but I must have lost it. They offer it on ebay but its 799 now, and 699 with the coupon. There is no point payin more for the coupon to save 50 bucks. Most on ebay are 50 for the coupon.

Still searching online for the 11 drawer/56" cabinet coupon.
So far, I ran across this obscure link:

(yes, the spelling is incorrect)

After the page loads and displays, it 'grays' out the image of the coupon and advises that the coupon has expired.

HOWEVER... when I then do a right-click on the coupon and do a "Copy Image" (to clipboard) and then paste it into a graphics program, the coupon image comes up in full color and clearly says Expires 1/24/15. So it is a bit intriguing. I'm going to run over to the local HF location and see if they accept the coupon. Will post what happens.

Have you ever used that cherry picker before?

It's absolutely horrible. The arm is so short that on most cars you have to remove the front bumper just to get close enough to get the hoist into position.

Do yourself a favor and nut up and buy the 2 ton with a coupon it'll come out to around $180, it is well worth the additional money I promise.

If not, have fun!

They have the 2 ton aluminum jack for $130 with coupon, anyone seen it any lower? I have a steel one Im getting by with for now debating if I should hold out or not.

OK. Took the plunge today. Bought both the lower & upper 56" cabinets. The discount coupon code 31791984 for the lower cabinet did not work at the cashier. The 41058338 code did work fine. The HF associate at the register said 'no matter'. She would have given me the discount anyway. I did show her the other coupon code which she entered and that number worked fine. So who knows what the deal is with the '984' code. The code that worked is good until 3/23/15. I think the bottom line is that as long as the HF customer knows what the secret-magic-coupon-decoder number is then most likely you'll get the discount.

^^^^pony up for the 2 ton, I just sold my 1 ton and went and bought the 2 ton. My 1 ton couldn't get the job done on my 75 Firebird or my Audi. I'm very happy with my 2 Ton. 1st pix is 1 ton 2nd 2 ton

When I showed the cashier the coupon she scanned it with no luck. She showed some other guy and he started reading it. Next lady walks up and says she's seen one before years ago. By this time there's 4 workers standing there reading this thing. Keep in mind I'm just standing there watching them not saying a word and never made a fuss. Then the manager comes over and says yeah its an old coupon so give it to him. The only comment I made during this entire 10 minute ordeal was if I couldn't get the 44" for 20% off I would only be purchasing the 18" 7 drawer for $179 w/coupon. The manager actually told her to give me 20% off the entire purchase if I bought both but of course they were out of the 18".

56" UPPER cabinet purchase followup: (So much for the enjoyment of a discount coupon.)

When I got my 'upper' tool cabinet home (yes, I did pay full price for the upper. no coupons for that one) and managed to carefully get it moved from my truck to the garage I discovered that the keys were missing from the box and the top compartment was LOCKED. Also some of the black plastic drawer latch release 'pulls' were broken.

A call to both the local store and the HF customer service call center both advised me that I had to take the tool cabinet BACK to the store for an exchange! Ugh... a heavy, annoying, painful and inconvenient proposition. Had to drive 45 minutes to a different store that had it in stock.

HF apparently does NOT replace keys. The store mgr at the second store, who was quite polite and understanding about the problem, remarked that they've been experiencing quite a bit of missing keys. (at least in our area of FL) The mgr offered some advice which I'm happy to share if only to allow others NOT to go through the exchange hassle that I endured:

~ If and when you buy ANY Harbor Freight tool cabinets once you have paid for item and have it loaded onto your vehicle or trailer, NEVER leave the store without first checking that the keys are there. (WHY didn't I thnk of that?) Take a utility knife and merely cut open a small rectangle in the cardboard box on the 'front' side of the cabinet and look for the 2 keys which should be hanging down on a red string. If you can't locate them ask for the manager to verify their location.

~ Also cut open the cardboard as necessary and check and verify that the plastic drawer lock release 'pulls' on the right side of each drawer are not broken. Some were broken on mine and some were even broken on all the floor display units in the store.

~ The larger heavier tool boxes (like the ones I bought) are packaged in a 'crate' of sorts with wooden supports on the corners and a pallet on the bottom. IF there is supposed to be such crate packaging on the item you are buying but is missing on the one the store is trying to sell you do NOT accept it without verifying the contents inside. (it may be ok) The one I had to return did not have the proper packaging which I was unaware of at the time. I was told that the defective cabinet was probably already returned once before and no one at the other store where I purchased it marked it as such and 'do-not-sell'. Wish I had known that.

Just some helpful advice I wanted to pass along and share.

+1 took me 3 trips to HF before I got a 26" cabinet that wasn't damaged. Definitely open and check them before you leave.
