I printed one of the 25% off coupons from this thread last month and the cashier refused to enter it because it was a "copy" that didn't have the web page information on it. I've made copies from magazine ads in the past and there was no problem so something is changing. I used to go to Harbor Freight first but now it's my last resort.

"This is one of the coupons in the promotional emails, I had to print it out."

I've shown the cashier the coupons on my phone and never had an issue beyond having to read out the code for them.

On the subject of HF batteries, had anyone tried the rechargeables they sell? (AA/AAA)
They used to sell a set of 2 AA's and 2 adapters/spacers for devices that need C. Similar to this. Anyway not sure if it is the same as the current rechargeables they sell. These aren't sold in either HF near me and they seem to not remember carrying it. However the batteries and adapters have worked well for me. They live in a flashlight that doesn't get used all that often. I know I have successfully charged them once with my Duracell NiMH charger. I think they're 2000 or 2200mah.

I use Eneloop for almost anything else. I have some old duracells for stuff I don't care about, and actually only bought those HF batteries for the adapters.

Re: % 0ff coupons

Any active 25% coupons out there? I'm not seeing any chatter about it lately. Thanks ahead of time.

Haven't seen any 25% but here's a 20%:

If you don't need a printable one, these codes should also be good till the end of the month (no guarantee) for 20%:

I'm starting to think that HF must have decided to not do the 25% off everytime. They'll probably show up very rarely now.

I think this statement is funny. You stopped going to a retailer because they are cracking down on abuse of their coupons.

The Norman store has an open box purple tag 50% off 5 drawer cart for $76.

Little bit of damage on the edge of the lid, but well worth $76 compared to $169. I almost bought it but I already have 2 of them.

I don't see any abuse by the customer. Like bed bath & beyond, the retailer prices on the assumption the customer will have a coupon.

What I see is a bunch of consumers who want to repeatedly use an electronic version of a printed, one time coupon.

I'm all for coupon usage at Harbor Freight. I just think that the way that a lot of people use coupons at Harbor Freight is unethical. One dude finds a single use 25% off coupon in his magazine in Bumblebutt UT and now it goes nationwide and gets used hundreds of times.

Grab the code ... 87272690 ... and take it to the store. Give it to the clerk and they should be able to hand enter it. Do it all the time, especially when the original is illegible from being in my pocket :)

I have had this idea for a while but you are still a great guy for doing it. Plus I'm lazy but that should not take away from you.

Any coupon for the 7000/8750 watt Gen. I see it can picked up today for $548.48 but is that $529.99 coupon around or has a $499.99 one been around I thought I seen one before. Don't need it today next few weeks like to grab one. When do they usually have good sales on them.

Its much more than I need but why not have extra so I can power up a few more things if needed without worrying. Figured gonna spend atleast $300 on a 3xxx/4xxx watt might as well pay little more for the 7000w.

People say they are using HF coupons at Home Depot? How?

They have the 14.4-Volt 1/4 in. Impactor Fastening Driver Kit by Bosch for $129, and with 20% of its just over $100.

By handing the clerk a HF 20% coupon and asking for a price match. It does not always work, it depends on the store management and or clerk. Just used one last week in Florida to get the DeWalt flashlight. There is a whole other thread here on GJ that explains it.
