I found this 20% coupon. I tried it, it did not work. It is a actual harbor freight coupon but it has to be a few years old.

in case you are buying a:

● floor jack
● generator
● compressor
● welder
● tool cart
● tool box

the oft-mentioned 25% coupon excludes those, but this one doesn't!

Has anyone used this on a mower lift/jack? I need one for my zero turn

The mower/atv lift isn't a floor jack so the normal 20% or 25% coupon should work me thinks. It works online in my cart with the 25% code...

99.99 down to 74.99 (25%) or 99.99 down to 79.99 (20%)

In store, the cashier looked at the coupon on my phone and said, " Oh 25%, I haven't seen one of these in awhile." That was it - no fine print discussion.

actually it does... you just close the little sign in/register box and there you go

but it appears they removed it from the coupon database site because as someone said whoever submitted it altered an older coupon with the updated code... so i'lm going to remove the link

I used the code online as a test and it works :). For some reason yesterday my computer didn't like Dropbox I guess, every time I'd click the x on the register screen it would just pop back up...ugg some days I hate computers LOL. The coupon code works online, but I doubt the stores would accept them they just don't look right at all compared to other coupons, and previous 25% off coupons.

I just read them the codes. I don't even show them the coupon. They seem to like it. Much easier. 25% worked for me yesterday

Depends on the store I guess. Mine requests the coupon or to see the actual coupon. What I don't understand is if someone shows them the coupon on their phone and they use the code. That same person could go outside put their stuff in their car come back in get something else, go to a different line and use the same coupon again. Or, even drive across town to another store if there's one available and use the coupon again....so what I don't understand is why they're so worried about the coupons and why they bother putting all the original coupon must be presented, one coupon per person per day, etc. LOL.

With gas prices going back up its going to be back to me ordering stuff online anyways so just the numbers will be needed :).

Same here for the most part.. half the time they have a pile of coupons sitting there and if I say I have a 20% off they just scan one and avoid bothering with looking at whatever I have.

Haven't tried a 25%'r though

I noticed that my store does this depending on the cashier though. The new store they just opened up in another town is like strict by the book...wonder how long that will last HAHA.

Clerk-to-clerk variation on phone coupon use has been my experience as well. One checkout clerk at my local store (a woman in her early 20's) asks to hold the phone and critically examines each coupon. Instead, I get in the line for one of the two older clerks (in their 50's) and zoom way in on the coupon codes for them. I say, "I can never read the email coupons when I print them out at home, so I zoomed in on the code on my phone so it's easier to read, I hope that's OK. " And they are all smiles as they type in the codes for me. I open a separate window and zoom in for each coupon before I get in line so I can just switch screens quickly - it works great and they can't even tell if it's a bad scan.

And some folks just don't care at all - I stopped at a HF on my way through CT last year and the clerk flat out told me, "Buddy, you're going to have to read me your coupon codes from your phone because there's no way I'm going to be able to see those numbers."

There is only one HF within 30 miles of me. I walk in, find my stuff, read them the code, and pay for it. They never ask to see the coupon or even question it.

Great, thanks. I didn't think to just try it on the website. I just got a flyer in the mail with the lift on sale for $88.88. I'm a newb to this thread and HF in general. I know the flyer and coupon says it cannot be used in addition to other deals but do you guys know if I could get 25% off the current sale price?

The sale price is 99.99. You can use either coupon to lower that price, but you cannot use the coupon to lower the price to 88.88 and then use the % coupon to lower it more. It's one coupon or the other coupon.

You can still use coupons with items already on sale.

I used it today to buy the side tray for the 5 drawer red cart and it worked just fine. The clerk told me to just read the first 8 digits to her and she wrote it down on paper for other customers I guess. I will be using it again tomorrow. Lol THANKS

Amusing. Every time I go to a HF, as soon as I walk in the door, I say- so this is what China smells like!

Looking at the 56" and 72" boxes.
Is $699 about the lowest it gets? What about the 72", any luck with sneaking a 20-25% off coupon in? I know they exclude boxes, just trying to see what other peoples experiences have been...

you can't sneak the coupon in... the code would either just simply not work or apply to the highest price applicable item

outside of manually keying in the discount which i would imagine could cost someone a job if they did it without manager approval

unless you luck out on a scratch and dent discount

I see that the regular 3 ton jack is down to 69 for the parking lot sale but has anyone come across a recent coupon for the low profile one for 69.

The coupon says it won't work for parking lot sale items, but it's taking it online. there are some great deals to be had.

the chainsaw sharpener for under $20, the 12,000lb winch for $220, etc..

I've almost convinced myself to get the 55" tool cabinet.

It is still showing up as $799 on the web.

Does it periodically go down to $699? It doesn't seem to be part of the tent sale.

Thanks in advance.

Andy
