I bought both the pencil torch and the orange hand held one. The orange one started to leak gas after about 2 weeks. The pencil torch that I used a lot actually, failed after a year of use. But I hope the bernz-o-matic hand held torch lasts longer, I plan to buy it when I need it.

It's an amazing torch, I use it for wiring and last night lighting a charcoal grill,
Simple to use and it lasts a good while on a fill up
With the soldering tip attachment it's a dream

I don't think the HF pencil torches are any good. The ones I had went in the trash and I got some from TSC which are pretty good.

I opened the tip on the pencil torch and tried to reshape the thin foil ring inside to see if it would flow better. I tried to make my own ring out of aluminum from a soda can. They are pretty much junk

Has anyone put that end cabinet on a 44" without the top? Pictures too if possible.

Just a note.

My local store is getting picky about printed coupons depending on the clerk.

But they gladly accept coupons on your phone or pad, as long as they can read the number. Then they punch it in.

So I bring up the website with all the coupons and scroll to the ones I want.

www.hfqpdb.com

It doesn't seem to matter that they are obvious copies that are all crooked and from scans and not digital origin.

So if you have a printed coupon, just photo it or scan it. And show them the digital result.

I also keep a paper backup as well as a list of codes.

I try a code first, then the one on the phone or pad, and finally the paper one. I keep originals as a last resort.

Bringing up their website or bringing their flyers or coupons they hand out would also work.

For original coupons, I stop at auto repair and tire shops and check the magazines in their waiting rooms.

I want this, have to ask the wife to buy it for me, (I wonder if she will) I just spent $600 on the unisaw.

I got that side cabinet on a scratch & dent sidewalk sale last year for $50. It came without the key and cabinet was locked. I drilled out the lock and besides that it's perfect now. I think I can get a lock for it I don't know. Yeah $50 !!

Just picked up a second 44" and the side drawer unit (will attach between the two 44" I now own). Unloading these from your pick up by yourself is a CHORE!

The last time I went to HF I use a 20% off paper coupon and the cashier scanned it and handed it back to me, kind of strange, usually they keep them. I just handed the coupon to the guy that was behind me LOL.

Last time I went, they did this, too. I had printed the 25%er and he handed it back and said, "so you don't have to print more."

HAHA, well the 25% off coupons are so rare anyhow that they aren't exactly losing anything by handing the coupon back. Course the stuff that HF sells isn't excellent quality anyhow and they really get this stuff cheap from China anyways, so...LOL.

I only go over once a month if that even, so the coupons all expire before I get to use them anyways.

I have that end cab. It isn't bad at all. I had it on a HF 44" box. I picked up another 44" box from another mech-uh-nik at work for $200. Then I upgraded to a Matco 55" box but kept the HF side cab, for now. The side cab is only 18" deep but it hangs just fine on the 25" deep Matco box.

I thought about getting two side cabs, one on each side of a single 44" box and then putting a board across the tops of the side cabs to form a sort of hutch. I'm happy with the Matco, though. The extra depth makes a big difference.

I did that too

If you ask, the cashier usually will have a 20% coupon stashed away that they can use if you don't have one available

Are there ever coupons for the trailer tongue boxes? I searched the thread for "tongue" but only 2 results from '13, and not about the boxes. I figure "trailer" and "box" are too common as search terms.

I saw a 25% off coupon on the HF website for use next Sunday, April 5 (I believe) which is Easter.

I'm curious about this one day only coupon. I see on their website the 44" tool chest is currently $389.99 ($359.99 with the newest coupon), and the regular price is $699.99. On april 5th, will that price go back to the $699 price?

I tried using a 20% coupon on top of a coupon for the black tool cart and they wouldn't do it..

So for this case I would rather buy the chest now at $360 than $699*20% = $560

No, the box is never "really" priced at the retail price. Has been floating at $389.99 for a while. Coupons bring it down even further

Percent coupons don't work on tool storage. Haven't for years now.

As said previously some of their inventory has probably never been at the "retail" price. Like a perpetual sale. That's just like some stores used to have a "going out of business" sale for 3-4 years.

I'd put my 44" box against any other brand, especially considering I paid only $350 for it.

All my coupons are on my phone ... so I reuse till they expire, especially the 25% off ones.

I have the 44" rolling chest and the top. It sits outside all year. Only issues I have with it are the drawers don't want to open in the winter. Haven't figured out why. Its under cover so its not like its getting rained or snowed on, but the drawers seem to stick really bad in the winter.

Can't remember how much I paid for mine, but I've had it since 2005 it was waiting for me to un-crate after I got back from Iraq LOL. Then I later picked up the top chest. I still want to get the end cabinets for it at some point.

You are right on this item, its a great product for the price. Actually I can't see where the $1k+ units are any better actually, just pay for the brand name badges on them.

I'm on an extremely limited income so I can't afford to go to HF very often, usually once a month if that even, so the coupons are totally useless to me most of the time as they expire before they get used LOL. Wouldn't do any good to have them on my phone can't do that on mine anyhow I have a dumb phone its lucky to make and receive phone calls.

Is there some other email or other source to receive HF coupons/ads?
Some of the ads you show here, and I see in other places are ones I've never received such low prices and I'm an inside track member and on their emails.

Can anyone explain how to get on all of them?

i always see their "retail price" as "this is what some other brands would charge for this same stuff"
