Sounds like a plan! Found a coupon from St. Louis for an oscillating spindle sander for $99. Just didn't want to walk in and find out I can't use it. Thanks!

Does HF do price adjustments within 30 days?

I just bought the 5 drawer toolbox 2 weeks ago and it is going on sale for $149 this weekend for their tent event.

Will h/f give me the $10 difference?

Does anyone know if I can use a 20% off coupon with this weekend's $149 priced 20 ton press?

Never paid attention till now when I need it: looking for the best price on the 7 drawer end cabinet that goes on the HF 44 roller box. I see it's 169. Looked on Lefty's site but don't see a coupon. Does it ever go on sale for less? Thanks, Jim

Seen it for $159 recently but it used to go on sale for $179 so $169 seems like a good price

No coupons. It is down to $169. Coupons the end of last year were $179 and the “regular” price was $300.

With the "everyday" price of $169.99, how about trying the 20% off coupon up a few posts (that doesn't note any restrictions)?
You can try it, but I always felt that's kinda shady.

The item is ineligible for percent off coupons.. fine print or not

It's not shady if you present it to the cashier / associate and just ask if they can apply it and they do.

Sure, agreed. It's when it gets to the "let me talk to the manager / LOOK THERES NO EXCEPTIONS IN THE FINE PRINT!!" where I personally draw the line.. :)

Don't matter the items are exempt from percent off coupons

And where does it show that this item is exempt? It doesn't note it on their website, on the coupon, nor on the tag on the item in the store.

Not trying to be difficult, but if they offer a coupon with no exceptions listed, shouldn't they honor that coupon? (unless the coupon with no exceptions is fraudulent)

I get what you're saying, when the cashier punches or scans that code and it's not accepted, or when you add that item to the cart and it says "This item is excluded from certain coupons offers" and the 20% doesn't work on it, then you know.

It's when people take the next step at the store and start arguing to get their 20% off something that everyone knows is exempt, that I personally don't agree with.

Probably somewhere else on the flyer or even the back side it lists exemptions. If you wanted to really argue they would just ask you for the original paper coupon.

Good point. The "fine print" may have been elsewhere on the flyer. As long as the retailer gives the customer the information, I have no problems with it, but when a retailer makes an offer, they need to stand behind it.

Thanks all for this thread. You saved me $400...

I was able to score two 72" Roller Cabinet toolboxes 61656 this week for $999 ea. I wanted to put 2 of them back to pack to make a 4x6'-ish workbench of sorts. I used my HF pallet jack to jack both up and remove the casters. I set it down on two 4x4s to get it lower to the ground. They are now around 38+" before the top I am going to put on it. If I have to move it, I'll just use the pallet jack.

FYI - I had to go to two stores to get both. Each store only carries ONE plus the sample (which they say they won't sell) - so call ahead to make sure their stock says "2".

when you call for something like this, after they check the computer tell them you are going to be driving a long way, and would they mind going out back to make sure they actually have them.

the local store told me the one 30 miles away had the side cabinet i wanted. i called before i went, and while their computer said they had N of them, wandering around the warehouse found none.

I got an email today about the settlement... lol...

I don't think I've bought that much, I'll probably just opt for the $10 GC, I don't care to dig up receipts...

the 1000 pound motorcycle lift is on sale at the "extended sidewalk sale" for 279$:

http://www.harborfreight.com/1000-lb-Capacity-Motorcycle-Lift-69904.html

does anyone have any comments about this? worth the money? better deal somewhere else?

thanx.

I've had this lift in my shop since last September. I haven't used it a lot, but I'm very pleased for the price. You won't find anything else even close to it for $279.00. So far I've had a '78 Goldwing and a 2007 Yamaha FZ6 on it without issues. It has a foot pump, and takes a little while to raise, but I'm fine with that. It's a bit lighter weight than the $1,000.00 lifts that are out there, but as long as you don't have a really heavy bike you'll be fine. I couldn't justify the $1,000.00 on an air operated unit, so I went this direction. I'm happy with the purchase.

Yeah...bought one 72" @ my local store, then drove about 35 miles to the next closest. I called the day before & they sold it that night. Had to go to the next state over to snag the 2nd one. Not a big deal...Brought the trailer the 2nd time around because getting it out of the truck was a bear with short forks on a front loader.

It's decent - no complaints. It handles everything from my KLR650 to my lard-assed FJR1300ES. It's great for detailing them too.

I think I paid like $299 or something with a coupon 2 years ago (I needed it right then and there)...so that price probably isn't bad.

For you two with the lift, what do your bigger bikes weigh? I have an '09 Nomad that comes awfully close to the 1000 lb limit, along with two smaller bikes. I've read reviews that it handles larger bikes just fine. I'm hesitant though.

The FJR is supposed to weigh 650# wet. As long as you don't jerk it all around, it is stable enough at full height to work on. It didn't sound labored when lifting, so you may be able to get close to the 1000# limit. The hydraulics are probably up to the weight...not sure about the platform. It can get a little wobbly if you push on the bike from left/right side - but nothing precarious.

Nomad spoda be 822# wet.

The '78 Goldwing is listed at around 650 lbs online, but I'm not sure if that includes a fairing or bags. The FZ6 is listed at a little over 400 lbs. dry. I think occasional use with a bike nearing the capacity would be fine, but for continuous everyday use you may want to consider something else.
