Not a coupon, but the 4 pc Pittsburg pry bar set is on clearance and only $10.

Are these as good as the reviewers say?
The 2 longer ones are quite bendy which can be annoying in situations when you don't have much room for swing. The 2 shorter ones don't really flex much but I've never really overloaded those. Mine are from like 15 yrs ago though so not sure if newer ones are any better. Still haven't broken any of them & I still keep em around but I rarely use the 2 longer ones anymore.

I've got the Sears Craftsman ones w/ the strike caps that are made by Wilde USA. Those are pretty good, great bang for the buck. Can still get them from Walmart under the HyperTough name. I'd skip the HF ones & get the Hyper Tough ones instead if you want reasonably priced pry bars. Menards/Masterforce has em too in green but not sure how much those go for.

I can tell you they don't like to be hit with a hammer like a chisel. Don't remember what I was doing but the end result is the bigger one is now missing its handle.

That's good to know. I never plan to hit mine with a hammer anyway. I never understood why prybars (with angled blades) would need a striking cap. Guess I never encountered that type of situation.

Really I was mentioning the striking cap more for indentification purposes since Sears Craftsman & HyperTough had/have other prybars that don't have the striking caps and afaik aren't made by Wilde/USA.

Yeah I think it was one of those not quite the right tool for the job but the tool I have at the moment situations.

My ITT membership actually ended last week just before I got that coupon. Maybe that was their way of trying to convince me to renew?

Just got a survey request about why I did NOT renew....maybe some incentives might be on the way?

All I got last week was 30% off of items $20 and under. The sale was 20% off, so ITT members discount was an additional 10%, nothing to get too excited about.
I'm hopeful to get a 15-20% discount deal when the big generator is actually in stock locally. The timing of that hasn't yet worked out.

Picked up the sand blaster. Tried to use the 25% off coupon, but it was a one time coupon. So "normal" price was $200, but an ITC membership coupon put it at $170, where the membership was $30. So I got the membership. Will absolutely be canceling and getting my money back on that ITC membership this week.

Harbor Freight has gone to complete ****. Looking at coupon history, prices have not only increased but most historical coupons have become only ITC coupons. So now they want you to pay a yearly membership fee to get their previously normal coupons, plus with the increased prices that succeed Home Depot and Lowes tools. Harbor Freight has lost their damn mind.

Just needed to vent on how such a great company went to complete **** due to greed.

You should probably return the sand blast cabinet with the ITC membership. I doubt that you'll be happy with it.

I agree that you should return the blast cabinet as well. They don't work worth a **** and cause lots of headaches and wasted time trying to get them to work and the mess that they make because their "seal" is not much of a "seal".
I made sure to seal up the cabinet extremely well while assembling, including using caulking along the seals and seams. Added a Dustopper to my shop vac, some glass abrasive, and cleaned a few parts with ease and absolutely zero leaks. I still want to modify the pickup tube, which is free and easy to do with the existing one. The only minor thing I dislike is that I wish it was top open, since the door leaks a small amount of abrasive material when opening.

For $170 (or $200) and my limited use, it works fantastic. The next available options are $600+, which I'm not willing to invest in since my scale of work doesn't justify it.

Yeah my only friend that has the blast cabinet and had success with it used silicone caulking when assembly on every seam and modified the pickup tube as well. I also believe it bolted a ******** deburring/polishing thing to the bottom to help it funnel into the pickup tube better .

Does HD or Lowe's have Icon/Quinn level of quality of tools? I am not trying to argue -- just wondering myself. Is the Husky/DeWalt/Kobalt stuff as good of a value? I am talking about the quality divided by price ratio.

It all seems dirt cheap relative to truck brands. $300-$400 worth of tools (can get you hundreds of tools) can literally pay for themselves on one repair.

Today I went to HF to buy some basics for stepson. He is 22 and literally has not even a screwdriver. They were pretty thin on the stock. Sold out of the 53 piece toolset for $15. I ended up getting him the $11 Voyager toolbox, basic hammer, 6 piece screwdriver, pliers, adjustable wrench, socket set, hook/pick set, Allen keys, needle nose pliers, level, tape measure, utility knife.............etc. I went to install RAM into his gaming PC 2 weeks ago, and he did not even own a Phillips screwdriver. I had to go out and get my multi-tool out of my car.

I didn't know the 30% off coupon was good for more than 1 item (up to 5). Doh, could've saved like $9.

Looks like the 30% coupon is back this weekend so you have another bite at the apple.

Not to derail the coupon thread (some folks get their feelings hurt around here when we don't talk exclusively about deals), but would say the Quinn stuff is better on average than Husky as it is mostly Taiwan vs. China. That being said said some of the Apex Taiwan Husky stuff is decent aka Gearwrench Taiwan (18 inch 3/8 breaker bar for example). The Quinn sockets are actually the Kobalt equivalent. I think the Kobalt and Quinn digital torque wrenches are both made by Eclatorq. There are some gems in each of the lineups IMHO. Hope this helps.

I doubt that I'll renew my ITC membership, the typical additional 5% discount from sales just isn't worth the price of the membership, unless you're planning a large purchase like several tool cabinets or a generator or such and happen to catch a sale AND the item is actuall in stock to purchase. Sigh.

Apparently there appear to be coupons that are not on the Harbor Freight website per se, or if they are there, I missed them. Case in point, I needed some solid tool box drawer liners and I googled them. This coupon popped up on google for 10% off their solid drawer liners. I did not see that coupon anywhere on HF website. So, google the products you need and maybe a coupon will pop up. YMMV. I can tell you that it worked for me in the store.

That's a U.S. General Toolbox/Cart accessory, it's listed on their website as a coupon.

And it seems that many times the ITC benefits only apply in store. So if I want to make an online order, I am no better off by having it (arguably worse off ... paying for membership)

Long shot but if there happens to be a 20, 25 percent off coupon they put out can you post it? Or a coupon for the gas earth auger.. dont really follow HF coupons anymore since they changed so not really sure how they do stuff now. I just know I periodically get stuff in the email

20% off single item, probably standard restrictions. Online only, though.

The HF near me is less than 2 years old and never has any customers when I drive by. Notice I said "drive by." When they stopped 20% off coupons and nixxed the free blue flashlight, my visists to the store dropped by about 98%. Guess lots of people feel the same since even on weekends the parking lot is mostly empty.

Supply chain issues and high inflation will continue to spank HF for the rest of 2022, I wouldn't be surprised to see some HF store closures. The current economic climate is like kyrptonite to their buisness model.

If Harbor Freight would get off of their high horse they might start getting more customers and not close.
You know it's like when I bartended briefly when I was about 22 years old give a customer a free drink every once in awhile you get a good crowd you know, customer service and a few incentives freebies etc goes a long way.

I used to go in and get small items here and there just to utilize the free coupons. Without them I dont bother making the trek across town, I just order from Amazon.

Same here. And I read today China is locking down their ports and supply chain issues are about to get a LOT worse.

I wonder if HF will go public with an IPO at some point soon, they may have no choice if they want to survive. I think HF in general will someday be an interesting case study for MBA students in like 2050 lol.

Check your inboxes. I just saw a single use, 20% coupon for any single item. The coupon starts today, Friday, 01/14/22 and runs through Monday, 01/17/22 and is for "IN STORE ONLY". It also says, "No Exclusions" (except..... usuals such as inside track club, sale items, extended service plan, previous sales, etc).

ETA....

I looked and they also have a 30% off any five items under $10.00 in store and one item online. It's on their homepage and runs the same timeframe.

Didn't get a coupon email...again. wonder how they are targeting people? I don't have a major purchase planned but if someone gets one and isn't going to use it, please PM me. I'd put it to use.

Funny, I posted yesterday in another thread about waiting for the 30% off for under $10 to start a project and I wake-up to one in my emails. I didn't get the 20% off a single item thou.
For those that don't get the emails most of their coupons get posted in an app. Just search "HF Coupons" in the play store. The icon should look like the picture below. It makes it simple to do screenshots of the coupons.

So I got a 25% of any single item coupon, no exclusions except IT membership, gift card type stuff.

So I look at the 44 base cabinets. $599. So it would be $450. I think I paid $399 last year on the spring black friday sale, marked down from maybe $449 or $479 or something. So 25% off is more in less than a year because of their price hikes. Their basic hand truck is up to $64.99, it seems like it was $39.99 last year. I needed one and Northern Tool shipped one to my house for $35 (I have a membership which gets free shipping).

So anyway I am glad to forward to anyone who has a need. PM me.

Bruce

Edit: The coupon has been claimed.
