This past December I used one of the 20% off coupons for a 56" Icon tool box with no problem. Yesterday I used a 20% coupon for the stainless steel top and today I'm going to try to use the 25% off coupon on the hutch.

If it doesn't work, I'll get the 10' x 12' greenhouse for my wife.

Went and got the portable garage today. Had the coupon from the website on my phone and he scanned it 2x and the system said it wasn't valid. He looked close at the date and whatnot as he had the coupon that sits by the register in his hand before he scanned it to give my discount.

Had to go to 'the hood' though because the store I usually go to said "limited stock" and I didn't have time to waste today in case they were out. I made it home alive.

I was going to use the coupon for one of the lift tables, but it says no carts and technically it has cart in the name. I didn't bother asking because they only had the 500lb cart in stock. 500lbs would be perfectly fine for my needs and I like that it only weighs about 1/2 as much, but the extra 7" lifting height sold me on waiting for the 1000lb cart.

I came home with a metal stretcher / shrinker set instead. I've had my eye on these for awhile and the coupon saved me $40.

Yeah most people usually get the 1000lb cart cause it lifts higher & of course the higher rated load capacity. It is the better buy IMO. I on the other hand went with the 500lb cart. I'll never need to lift something closer to 1000lbs, if it can even really handle that much. I went with the 500lb cart because of it's weight.

If I ever need to take it anywhere I can lift it to put in the back of my truck myself. The 1000lb cart I wouldn't be able to & would have to call a buddy to come over to help me. The 500lb cart also has two legs that you can flip down so you can have it resting at an extended height & take the pressure off the hydraulic jack. That's come in handy for me a few times already. Surprisingly the 1000lb cart doesn't have that feature. Could probably just add it yourself though if needed.

You can use the 500lb cart to lift the 1000lb high enough to put it in your truck. ;)

Yeah, 88lbs vs 180lbs is a pretty big difference. It kind of has me waffling on my need for it at all. I'd really be happy with an honest 300lb (I don't trust HF weight ratings) cart with a 36" lifting height so it would be able to reach any of my workbench tops.

Haha.

Yeah sometimes I wish I had bought the 1000lb cart for the extra lifting height. A few times I thought about getting it but the price has gone way up since I got the 500lb so I'm too cheap to buy. I have a small truck & the 500lb cart works out for me since my driveway is sloped.

Came in real handy when I got my second 5 drawer cart. The first 2 I got were damaged so the lift cart made it easy for me to load/unload them. Plus I haven't had a need to use it much lately so I'm fine with the 500 cart. I use it more as an extra portable work surface using the locking bars. Space is very limited in my garage. Saved my back assembling the 5 drawer cart by myself too.

Plus I just got this motorcycle/dirt bike hydraulic work lift stand a couple of weeks ago. The small size makes it more easy to use for lifting stuff onto my workbench, etc.

I came here to post the same thing - just use the 500lb lift to get the 1000lb cart in and out of your truck!

I've also used them as work tables... they are great for that. Keep your eyes peeled for a used one that pops up and jump on it if you see it!

That is a neat little motorcycle lift thing...

Semi back to the topic - it was great having the 20, 25% off coupons like the good ol days.. I just wish prices were like the good ol days too! I used it on some of the Maddox tools, which were not excluded. So far, I've had good luck with them. They seem well constructed and either good copies of or from the same factory as many of the OEM tools/OTC tools/similar company tools.

Used the coupon to get a pickup crane for the utility trailer. Was contemplating upgrading to the 1000 lb cart since the 500 lb cart doesn't lift high enough for the modern 3/4 ton + pickups, but I figure between the crane and the cart I should hopefully be able to load 90% of the random junk/awesome stuff that I decide to bring home.

Update! I was able to finally secure a 1000 lb hydraulic cart yesterday. The 25% off coupon worked. The closest store to me that had one in stock was 120 miles away, so not really worth it. I would spend the savings in gas since my truck gets 13 mpg. But luckily my parents were visiting my brother in Cleveland and said they would stop by the store and try to get one with the coupon for me. It worked and they are driving back home with it today. I'll go get it later tonight from them.
I've said before that my main reason for getting it is for my laser engraver. Its a custom built machine I did myself and has an area to put very large items for engraving. Like tabletops on their side and counters on their side. The cart will make a good work surface for that. Letting me put the item on it and adjust the height close enough for the laser head to reach it. I was going to go with the 500lb one but once I saw them both in store I didn't think the 500 was large enough. Once I get it setup I'll post a photo so everyone can see what I plan on using it for. My description can be a little hard to understand. Thank you to those who told me to try using the coupon even though it said no carts.

Where did you get the motorcycle cart, that looks like it might be an even better option for me. It looks smaller and easier to use in a small shop than the motorcycle ATV lifts HF sells.

I got it here:
https://www.aosom.com/item/durhand-...small-motorcycles-and-dirt-bikes~C30-009.html

Used code special15 for 15% off. Currently shows out of stock but it did for me too when I finally decided to buy. I just kept checking back. A few days later showed in stock then I purchased. The notify feature never notified me.

There's other similar models on Amazon. Many don't have casters though.

Thanks, I found an almost identical one at Amazon (out of stock) but I'll throw it on my shopping list to remind me. That actually looks perfect.

It is kind of funny but I had included something in an earlier post, that my ideal would be a little smaller / lighter with around 300lbs capacity and 36" lifting height. I deleted that part as drifting into dreamer territory and look at that there is a smaller cart that almost exactly meets my ideal concept.

I tried to pick up the 1000 pound lift cart this weekend with the 25% (no exclusions) coupon but alas there is no stock within 100 miles of me. Oh well, I've been looking to score a deal for 3 years. I guess I can wait a little longer.

Ask for a raincheck with the coupon price. Gives you another 30 days and you're not locked into a single store.

Is that a done thing? I tried to do that recently with the hydraulic table cart and the local HF manager told me that wasn't possible.

I did it twice at two different stores within the past three months. They have a specific raincheck form that they fill out. I would say try a different manager or different store.

Says no rain checks and only in stock items on 25% unrestricted coupon. I wanted the lift cart also but nearest in stock is 100 miles

What, there was a 25% coupon for this past weekend? Usually 25s are one day only that usually happens on holidays. Last one was Memorial Day. Damn I didn't see anything for this past weekend.

They sent me a message saying they miss me. It's good through Thursday so I've been checking stock each morning. I doubt I'll find one close since the manager's of the stores I checks said they only get a truck every two weeks....no rainchecks.

Anyone have a 25% off (no exclusions) coupon they have no plans of using? I'm looking to pickup the 6 drawer cart this week.

Ah I see. I have yet to get one of those. Well I did get a 15% one a while back but it wasn't enough to get me in the store.

But yeah, that's been my experience around here too, no rainchecks using 20-25% coupons, item must be in stock. They will only do rainchecks on specific item coupons but I've never seen a coupon for the lift carts.

Bought one of the knockoff Pelican cases for $30 with coupon t try it out. Will see how it holds up over time, but it's probably the nicest case I have currently. And its orange, so hopefully I don't lose it somewhere.

Does anyone have any clue what criteria they use to send these out? I've been really wanting to get one to buy one of the ICON boxes but I haven't got a single one since people started reporting getting them.

Anyone know if there is a valid 20%+ off one item coupon right now? My dad wants one of the $115 trailer tongue boxes. I was going to get him one for Father's Day but by the time I seen the 20% off coupon it was around 4:30 and the store closed at 5 and there was no way I would make it. Plus, the coupon ended that day (Sunday). Probably going to buy it anyway but a coupon would sweeten the deal.

The only possible explanation I've heard is them being sent out to people that have not bought anything from them in a while. Since the first thing the cashier asks for is your phone number it makes sense.

The only item I wanted, the 1000 lb lift cart, was not in stock when they sent me a 25% no exclusions coupon. Still not in stock and the coupon expired.

Yeah, the closest lift to me (also what I plan on using the coupon for) is now 120 miles away.

I give them a phone number when I make a bigger purchase with a 20 or 25% off coupon. Any other time I tell them my number is unlisted. The younger cashiers have no idea what I'm talking about but as far as they know I only shop there with big coupons. Use cash for the other purchases as well so they don't track you by credit card.

It seems like we are back to the good old days of HF coupons but realistically all of their pricing increased by more than 20% so you’re really paying what the regular price of the item was 2 years ago when you use a coupon. I understand inflation plays a factor in it but I wonder if they intentionally did away with coupons to hike up the prices anyway.

Seems like it, but unfortunately the coupons have so many stupid exclusions that they're damn near useless.
