FWIW, they actually are not associated at all, several different UPCs are stocked as a single HF stock number.

The SKUs/model numbers are generated by HF. They can at their discretion, reuse, recycle SKU numbers and are for HF's own use. Think internal store use.
The UPC codes are assigned to a product by another entity and are used globally. Think external store use.
It is entirely possible that HF is using the same SKU with a different UPC bar code for a revised version of the recalled stool.

Hey guys, I went in to HF today to look for a small service cart for an upcoming project. I found the Yukon Two Drawer Service Cart for $160 but was listed as a clearance item. As you know, this week all clearance items are 30% off and 40% for ITC members. I signed up for an ITC membership and got the cart for less than $100 before taxes. Might be worth looking for if you can find any of them in your store.

Good luck. I'm on my 5th 25% no exclusions coupon and everything I've looked at is out of stock. I just keep letting them expire and they send another one the next week or so.

I assume the ones I'm getting are because I stopped going there. I've bought a few bigger ticket items in the past (welder, tool carts, tool chests, motorcycle lifts) and they say they miss me.
I have bought some odds and ends here and there but I only give them a phone number or pay with a card on major purchases.ITC gets 3 free gifts with any purchase. Everyone else gets 1 free gift. 3 days only 08/12/22 thru 08/14/22

Can't wait to see the cashier screw this up during checkout - it was a hassle to get them to apply the 25% vs the 20% the last time they did a 2-level coupon...

It's truly not the cashiers fault. 99% the coupons are screwed up until sometime mid-day on the first day. Harbor Freight has a monkey throwing darts at the wall now to figure out what the next promotion is. They should just do the logical thing and bring back the single 20% coupon with the exclusions. 25% for holiday 25% no exclusions for Black Friday/Christmas and be done. The cashiers used to complain of people looking up coupon codes on their phones every single time I've been in Harbor Freight the lines have been much worse since the new marketing model with all the special buy coupons. Just lower the price in the POS system and move on.

Oh I'm well aware it's not the cashier's fault - it's just getting old having to "teach" them the current promotions on the early days that only ITC members are able to use the coupons. HF desperately needs a new POS system that actually rewards people for being ITC members...

I'm an ITC member and got all three items. I actually didn't need to use coupons. When they rang up my purchase, the three items zeroed out automatically.

But most of the good stuff I am interested in now is excluded... I bought a Hercules 1/4" cordless ratchet. I now need a new cordless drill and would like a couple other tools. I am considering going to their Hercules platform instead of back to DeWalt. 20% off coupon would send me over the edge. Same with the Daytona jacks. I have one Daytona nd one older Pittsburg. I would like to replace the Pittsburg with a new Daytona, but can't use the coupons on them either any more...

Well I stopped going to the store for a bit and finally got a 25% no exclusion coupon emailed. Plan on getting a 2nd Icon locker.

The labor day 25% off may work, it works on the us general end lockers online and the Icon lockers are the same category. I got one that way the July 4th sale weekend. You may have to persuade the cashier to try the coupon. That way you can use the no exclusion on something else normally excluded

The reason you don’t get anything is because there is some algorithm they are using based on how often you shop there. If you’ve ever used your phone number or a credit card and give a phone number you have to go and not use these. The system knows if you shop there and won’t give out anything to those who are loyal shoppers. Only the people who don’t frequent the store are they willing to show any loyalty to. It’s pretty ridiculous but their thinking is clearly we already their money so why give them anything.

When you say you never get coupons emaied, do you mean you don't get emails from HF at all (they send emails pretty much weekly) or just the no exclusions % off emails?
