Harbor Freight coupons on Ebay, new low?!

I just stumbled across this looking for Kennedy toolboxes on Ebay.

Seems like a profitable business I should get into!

The coupon is free. The auction price is to cover my time and effort for finding, clipping, listing and mailing the coupon

Description clearly says the coupon "value" is $200.... that's assuming that someone somewhere once actually paid "normal" price for one of these?

Interesting, haven't seen it before.
Honestly, he's mostly up-front in the listing. He presents HF's theoretical "normal" price rather than their actual perpetual "sale" price, but everything in the description is clear that it is a coupon, and that the coupons are available for free. No clue who is bidding over $200 though, that's just sad.

I have a feeling that these people think they are bidding on an actual toolbox. The sale of coupons on ebay is a **** move, but I will admit that I did buy one once for $3. It pissed me off because I see them everywhere, yet the one I needed, I couldn't get a copy of, even online. I bit my tongue, and bought it for $3, and saved like $100. Still felt dirty though, lol

I reported it. His title doesn't state coupon. He's using a fraudulent practice to get bids. People are stupid for not reading, but that's shady as f***.

I guess in theory if you wanted to pay a couple of bucks in order to save a few hundred it's ok......but I don't think they should be on ebay. They should be on a coupon site. I myself have had to read over these listings to see what is being sold. Some never made mention of a box or tool. Clearly there are some sellers ripping people off. I don't agree with it all.

People have been selling coupons for ages. This guy is incredibly not up front about it being a coupon though.

there is a fool born every day, maybe more. I agree that most people have not read the ad and think that they are actually buying the box, but do they think they are going to get it shipped for .55 cents? free enterprise at its worst. Seems like he has only sold one item, but he has a bunch of bids on his other cupons, don't you wish you could put a comment like in the old days of ebay saying people wake up you can get these cupons anywhere.. feel sorry for the suckers.

Under the word "Description" he gives a description of the tool box not the coupon.
I can see how this would be misleading to some.
