Last week, I drove to the new HF location that is "close" to me ("only" 40 minutes away). I bought the welding cart item #65939.

Got it for $39.99 with an ITC coupon.
After getting it home and unboxed, I found one of the wheels was terribly bent. Instead of driving all the way back to the store, I called the 1-800 # and explained my situation. After getting some info from me off of my receipt, the very courteous HF rep gave me a confirmation # and told me that a new wheel is on the way, free of charge.

This is not the first time that I've had an issue with a HF item (shocking, I know:bounce:) but each time, the customer service has been top notch, the rep has been very polite and my issue has always been quickly and painlessly resolved.

For a retailer of cheap goods, I find HF's customer service to be far better than one might expect.

I've got a Diesel engine (photo in my avatar) and I was considering using the HF tire balancer to balance the 135#+ flywheels. I called HF customer service to see if the balancer could handle wheels that heavy. The person I talked to had no idea, of course. But he took my number and said he'd call be back. I figured that was the end of it and I'd never hear back. About two hours later he called back and gave me the weight limit on the balancer. He was very courteous and professional. I'm with you, "For a retailer of cheap goods, I find HF's customer service to be far better than one might expect. "

I've only had to call a couple of times, and not recently, but was quite impressed with their customer service on each occasion.

I've had a couple good customer service experiences with HF also - no hassle whatsoever.

I have also had good customer service with the store in Carrollton. I (coworker) split one of my 21mm red lug nut impact sockets and took it in. Guy said grab a set off the shelf and switch it out. I was so impressed I picked up a set of 3/8" metric swivel impacts. Have yet to use them, but I have no problems patronizing HF. A LOT better than the Sears in my area. That reminds me...I need to warranty my crapsman universal joint. I went last week but couldn't find anyone working. Didn't feel like going all the way up to shoes to warranty the u-joint.
