Anyone have the Diablo line of air Hose?

Good or bad?

I have 2 of the red 50ft ones, one I've had probably 4 or 5yrs now, and the other about a yr. Good buys so far, both have lived in the cold and the heat, get used for air tools and painting, get sparks thrown at them, and im sure have been dragged over enough sharp pieces of metal, but no issues yet. Though I haven't had any luck with the HF air couplings the time or 2 I've bought them, leaked immediately or by the next day.

Yes best air hose I have used. Very flexible too. I used it to replace the cheap red one on my HF hose reel.

I have the 25ft and so far so good. Holds air better than the Husky garbage it replaced.

Second avoid the Pittsburgh fittings they are terrible. I have Milton fittings, chucks and blow guns and they are pricey but in my opinion worth it. I would also avoid the HF PVC Air hoses they are about as flexible as copper tubing in even cool environments. I have a couple of the Diablo leftover hoses that they sell in random lengths. Those seem decent.

I've had a Diablo 25-foot hose for a couple of years now and it has held up well. I'm a DIYer not a Pro so keep that in mind.

I am looking at the 3/8" x 100' roll to run from my compressor to the front of the shop.......and then have 40 left over to use as needed

I was thinking the 1/2" will have too much volume

I've had a goodyear pliovic hose for 10+ years, awesome, and it's very reasonably priced

At least for daily use anyway. I bought one less than a year ago & it's falling apart at the end.

Buy a made in USA Goodyear from northern tool.
On sale, it's cheaper than the crappy HF hose

Check Amazon reviews. A whole lot of complaints with failures at the crimps with Goodyear hoses. The hose division was actually bought out by Continental Contitech some years ago so may not even be the same product from 15-20 years ago that most people are familiar with.

I have Diablo air hoses and Flexzilla. While both are good, I'd pay up for Flexzilla, it's much better.

I have one of the red 50ft ones as well. Just recently upon inspection I noticed that it's starting to crack near the ends. The hose is about the same age as yours, so you might want to take a close look at them. I'll repair the end soon and see how much longer the rest of the hose lasts...

No issues here, have 2 of them. The older hoses they sold were fine as well but kept leaving black junk all over everything-but they worked fine.

I was wondering about this thought? If a guy is not running heavy impacts the 3x8 is dandy. If it suffers from low power then 1/2 helps. Half the loss at heavy load.

I buy the red goodyear USA made hose from rural king, cheaper than the diablo and last me for years.

I have a couple. One that came with this cheap reel has been working 20+ years and been flawless, never even need an end replaced like real rubber. Its a little stiff but I dont really mind, it actually helps train the hose out of the way. Had a little remodel since this scheme. The reel had fingers which were a problem and took the rings from another one I had cut down to fit in a truck. My Bud has one, he rolled brake line tubing for his. This was about 20$ maybe at the time, 50 ft of hose I figured I might replace but it has been perfect,,, I was going to say almost perfect but it has never leaked, never needed a repair. Been charged 24/7 for close to 25 years.

Another vote for the Diablo. I have 2 of the 25' black rubber hoses, in use for 2-3 years. Now that I am retired, they get used regularly for air tools, inflation, etc. I just hang them over a HF bracket, old school gas station style. I did go with the better quality HF connectors.

The black Diablo hose is nice

Glad I went with the 3/8" line for the 100' line

The 1/2" was too big and the 1/4" was too light duty

The black rubber diablo line seems much more durable than the 3/8" options with the green and orange pvc available versions

I ran the 100' hose to the front area of my shop in the ceiling joists. I have around 30' leftover to use at my will and don't have to move my compressor around anymore

My friend bought one the same time I purchased a Tekton (USA made by Goodyear with a lifetime warranty). His is already cracked, other than stains, mine is in perfect shape. Plus, if there's ever an issue, Tekton will warranty it.

I think I paid $10 more than he did. I purchased mine from Tractor Supply online.
