Anyone else see that Harbor Freight is now offering 0% financing. Could make that large toolbox purchase a lot more palatable for some. I wonder if we will start seeing more of the ICON boxes in the wild now. I am still holding out for white personally.

I have seen that but I feel there is a catch to it most likely possibly but I could be wrong. I looked at the Icon boxes personally to me it’s like their tools decent but too much for it still in my opinion I prefer the US General boxes they feel just as strong and durable nobody I work with has an Icon box we have 3 US General boxes and a few Snap-on and Mac and Matco but no Icon I don’t know anyone personally that has an Icon but have heard mixed things on the boxes but there is a possibility you could see more of them pop up with that but I don’t know.

Of course it likely depends on your credit worthiness but it seems pretty straight forward.

I agree that 3K is a lot to shell out for an unproven box but at $100 a month that becomes a different story. Yes you can finance a snap on box too but starting at twice the price for a classic and 8% financing that's a lot of tools you can buy to fill the box with the difference.

Time will tell.

The catch is, like most places that offer 0% interest deals for x months, you have to get/use their credit card for the purchase and if you don't pay it off the interest rate is high

Yea you always want to make sure your payments will pay it off prior to the end of the promotional period.

Yeah I am only 18 and I don’t have credit so I wouldn’t want to get that started and my US Generals have worked great in the three years I have been in the professional industry.

It's not just for ICON. Yea I have the US General 5 Drawer cart and I am really happy with it.

I understand not wanting to get a credit card if you think the temptation would be to great to outspend you means. It can spiral out pretty fast specially if you end up with limits in the 10s of thousands. But if you do want to start building credit ones offering the promo periods of 0% are not a bad way to go. Just don't buy more than you can pay off in the promo period and after that is over pay it off every month.

Yeah I have the cart too they are amazing. I don’t think it would be a bad idea really just my parents would kick me out if I got a credit card they are totally against those so that’s a problem I have. And right now at the dealership we are so slow that I am lucky to bring home $100 a week right now depending on the job this week all I have gotten to do is a tune up and a starter so I am going to bring home about $500 this week so I don’t want to sign up right now either not knowing what I can and can’t pay for.
