I’m pretty confident my hand size is not changed appreciably over the last 20 years. But I’ve steadily gone from large to extra large and now to extra extra large.

And the fit is abysmal. They go about half way down the second joint.

How could they possibly f this up?

I buy HF gloves and it seems I had to move up to XL with the heavy ones, at least.

Not saying my hands are the same but I have not tried any other brands recently.

My long time friend, Peter, stopped buying these gloves because he was unable to buy rights, in Canada. I told him to forget about it. In other countries they cannot buy lefts. ;-)>

The XL 9MM gloves are tough to put on for me, but the tightness seems to be in the wrist area. Once on, the fingers aren't real tight. But next box will be XXL.

It’s not just Harbor Freight. We have three brands of nitrile gloves at work we have used for decades and it’s the same thing. Started with mediums and now up to extra large.

I tried the 9mm HF gloves. I didn't have a problem w/ the size, but they stretch so little they were very hard to get on or off. So I backed down to the 7mm which work a lot better for me.

^ I don't think it's only Harbor Freight. As I mentioned earlier in another thread, I was at Home Depot yesterday and tried on several pairs of their "Milwaukee" branded gloves, both "L" and "XL".
In their infinite wisdom, they decided to staple all of the right hand gloves shut, leaving only the left hand glove open to "try out".
This is an issue for me, as my right hand has been about half and inch longer than the left since I cut off a finger. Having monstrous hands is always an issue for me where it concerns gloves.
None of their "XL" gloves were large enough for my left hand, which actually didn't surprise me - I find that to be the case no matter the brand, no matter the store.

I didn't find size issues even during the pandemic when it was hard to find gloves for our lab. I actually had to call and talk to the suppliers and ask what they had in stock and then send the order based on that to our purchasers. The sizes have remained true though. However, if my memory serves me, the nitrile gloves I source(d) from scientific suppliers were/are made in Indonesia and/or Malaysia.

Edit.. COA attached.

Must be that plus size hand vanity sizing!

I'm going to make sure I tell everyone at work I have XXL hands.

^ Believe it or not, the Harbor Freight "XXL" gloves I bought were too big, which I thought was kind of funny. Sloppy fit - like when you put Mom's "dishwashing gloves" on when you were a kid.

I wasn't referring to just "lab gloves" or the nitrile "work gloves" that are so common, @Meursault74 - I have the same issue with winter gloves from REI - I'll try on 20 different styles before I find an "XL" that is actually large enough for my right hand. And they're not Chinese.

I realize nitrile should be much more consistent than cotton/poly/spandex, but man do jeans vary in size. I'm talking same brand, same style, same color, same bar code sitting on a shelf, and one is an inch longer leg length and thigh tightness is different.

Yep, just like everything else these days, companies move around to different suppliers, usually depending on price.

Sizes will vary even with the same manufacturer. Maybe it's a different batch material issue or they are boxing XLs as XXLs ?

If you're working with your hands, they will swell with blood flow like other things. Those same hands will also swell in the summer and shrink in the winter

Not much worse than trying to get a new XL nitrile on your hand during a EMS scene after the first one ripped... gloves don't go on sweaty hands very well.

When I stopped doing as much dirty field work I tried to move on from wrangler 13mwz jeans to something more "stylish" I found that nobody seems to believe in actual measurements.

The only thing that was consistent for me was Ariat FR jeans but I was trying to move away from that. Regardless I just ended up back in my wranglers anyway, I just keep a couple of "nice" pair around :ROFLMAO:
