I've searched for two days and can't find the info I need. I bought the HF/Greenwood 4 gallon backpack sprayer. The shoulder ******** the left side was preinstalled. The right side has a hook. There's no slot in the base of the sprayer to rig the strap the same way the left side is rigged.

Between my son and I, we dropped this thing at least 30 times in two hours. The job I was doing barely takes me an hour with a 2 gallon sprayer and refilling it once. I will say this for it, it's pretty tough to take all that beating and still work right.

Left strap.

Right strap. No slot like the left and the hook will not stay hooked in the notch when it's on my back.

Drill two holes and use a hot knife to make a new slot ??????

Or -

Pop rivet the hook in place and be done with it.

The first one may be possible. I'll have to see what may interfere with the hole cutting. The second one wouldn't. The little plastic hook is almost at it's limit with the weight of 4 gallons of water. Dilling a hole through it would finish it off.

I have one from NorthernTool. Probably the same manufacturer as I had the same problem. Fixed it with two screws.

I used my expensive new Kobalt utility knife and cut a matching slot into the opposite side of the sprayer tank base.
