I let mine lapse, I don't think it's worth it. I just use hfqpdb.com when I'm in-store and look for the best coupons.

Not a big deal unless your buying multiples on a lot of things and/or making a lot of purchases

Mostly buying One Off items using the coupons often match or can beat the OTC price by a few dollars

If you aren't in a rush to get a particular item, are willing to keep your eye peeled for new coupons and don't mind checking in now and again to see if the price has gone down, the membership is definitely NOT worth it. HF knows it and it's frankly why they have their cashiers push it down customers' throats so much. It's probably a bigger cash cow for them than even then the extended warranties.

+1 to the coupon database. One thing to keep in mind there is the coupons there don't work 100% of the time, at least not at my local store. Their system for some reason doesn't always recognize the bar code (or bar code numbers I read off to cashier) despite the coupon otherwise appearing to be valid.

I had it when I was buying more things having two houses' projects going, but I didn't renew. At that time, I did register for the class-action lawsuit and got gift certificates for almost $300, I had my receipts and itemized. I bought a Vulcan Omnipro 220 multi-process welder w/the gift certificates at about 2/3 of regular pricing, w/a sale coupon when it went to $870.

100% worthless. I have used one coupon that I hardly ever see it on sale and I happen to need one at the time. Don’t remember what it was at this moment. But it only saved me like an extra 3-4 bucks. Only good thing my dad and I use the same cars for harbor freight and I guess he upgraded it so for free sure I will take it.

Don't bother. Most of the times the ITC coupon isn't even as good as a regular 20% off coupon (which can be the case for a lot of the product coupons as well, but you don't have to be a "member" to get or use those). I got my ITC membership for free when I was buying a toolbox there last year, and I wouldn't pay a dime for another year.

The sale items is to limited. I would consider getting a membership if they had a discount on all items. The other problem is that you can find many items for less elsewhere. HF sells the Icon offset wrenches for $65. But you can find the same wrenches less than half on Amazon. HF's warranty is to limited & overly strict. HF requires a receipt. They will not accept credit card purchase as proof. HF is using their own brands as a way to raise prices.

It obviously depends on how often you shop at harbor freight but it definitely can be worth it. A lot of people here saying "it's not as good as the 20% off coupon" but the pervasive 20% off coupon doesn't exist anymore. Also, if you're casually paying attention to HF, you can you're not going to appreciate the frequency and extent of the ITC member deals.

I recommend getting the app. It notifies you of weekly deals including all deals and ITC member deals. It basically doubles the number of items that come on sale. Also, when the do have a good coupon, there is usually a larger discount for ITC member. For example, right now through tomorrow, there is a 10% off any single purchase (no exceptions) coupon that is 15% for ITC members. On a toolbox or something large, that's a real difference, but again, if you only buy one item per year, it doesn't make sense.

Also, I shop there often enough it's nice not to have to actually bring the coupon in. It's all just ties to my itc member number/phone number so I automatically get whatever discounts are available when I check out.

HF has done the math and figured out that they're going to make money on the program because most people won't save as much as they spend on the membership. You just have to figure out whether your spending habits put you in the category with those people or the few of us that spend enough to actually benefit.

I used to be a member years ago when H-F still sold some American made/name brand tools. For example, I got good deals on B+D pro-grade power tools.
