There's one set to open within a few miles of me, I'm actually excited about it. Though, the closest one lately was only 30 minutes so it's not like i was hf deprived. Convenience is nice, and I printed a whole pile of 25% coupons from this site that are good for a few more weeks.

They opened one here about a month ago. I was really looking forward to it, but to be honest I haven't even gone to it yet.

And stale rat piss, from the cargo ship.
But get passed that, you'll get some good things.

Smell. Chinese plastic and rubber smells funky. Even Chinese cardboard smells funky.

I've noticed the workers wearing gloves handling the boxes.

All that aside some really good deals. Check the hf pass fail thread.

Next step is a home depot with a menards across the street. And a 4 corner intersection with drug stores on 3 of the four corners. Or an autozone with an advanced auto next door

Funny you say that about the railroad.I had bought some cheap rubber tires at northern and ended up not using them..asked my wife to take them back when she got a chance and thought she had..well all week driving back and forth to work my car reaked of this smell..the only thing I could think of was creosote and knew there wasn't any around..finally on the wknd I went to get something out of my trunk and there was those tires stinking to high heaven from the heat

Right next door to hell
...meanwhile a Sears just closed across the street....

j/k enjoy their free coupons!

Both American companies selling Chinese goods......whats the difference? You cant blame HF for Sears demise.

P.S. "That Smell" is NOTHING like it used to be at HF. Ten years ago it was much worse. Over the years HF quality has gone up. I wish they would open a store in my small town.

BTW threads like this make it real easy to tell who has a swollen ***** due to not being able to afford the best tools.

It's not as if Harbor Freight "quality" could go anywhere but up.

The HF store in Muskegon,Mi has no HF smell inside at all.I only had to return one item so far getting a replacement which was hassle free,a die grinder.Air leaked around the speed control valve brand new out of the box and that is not good.Replacement die grinder,no problems so far.

Wish they would open a HF in the town I live in, closest one is 30 miles away, and with the stupid people on the roads on Sundays (my only day off work) I really hate having to drive over there. Course we also need a good grocery store and hardware store and a good auto parts store here as well. We have an over-priced grocery store that think because they're the only one in town they can price gouge. The hardware stores are full of idiots who act like you are interrupting them by shopping there, plus they don't carry anything useful, then the auto parts stores same as the hardware stores, plus they can't seem to figure out why they have so many returned parts...well they kind of actually need to have a part numbers that actually are the correct part, plus people who work there that actually know what the parts are. I've had multiple issues with all these places, so an out of town business of any sort that would come in would be a blessing, especially if they hire some of us that live here who want a descent reliable job.

Glad to see that we finally got one, been needing it. It's over near the old civic center right?

No, this one is in the Kmart shopping plaza, less than 10 minutes from my home. I drive by it every day to and from work. :3gears:

For those not familiar with our area (the biggest majority of you) before this HF opened the nearest was Greenville SC, more than 1 hour away.

You must live near me. I swear there are more drug stores in my suburb than any other store front establishment.

I also love how all of the mid-level chain restaurants tend to build on the same street within a couple 100 yards of each other.

Good deal, teh googlez said it was over by the old civic center site a couple of weeks ago but it didn't make any sense to put it way out there. The K-mart* location is much more advantageous to me, vs. having to go way out.

(I'd love to know why the hell THAT k-mart is still open. It's been withiring on the vine for years now)
