Just passing this on to anyone wanting to have a matched set of lock on their HF toolboxes.
I have two 44" rollers and two 7-drawer side boxes, and had 4 seperate keys to lock them.

I called Harbor Freight and ordered a set of 5 matched lock sets for $39 shipped. It also comes with 5 matched keys, so I'll have some spares in case I lose one.

SKU VENDOR PART DESCRIPTION PRICE
12892 NONE 90320 5LOCKS W/SAME 5KEYS 1PC $30.99

These parts can be purchased 24 hours a day at 800-423-2567.

It took me about 5 minutes per box to swap them out, and I have an extra lock set. I'll probably get another side box to hang on the other side of one of the rollers when space gets tight.

Is that the same lock as what is on the red five drawer cart?

Yes/No
The lock should pop right in, but the locking nut/clip won't fit the new cam. The old lock is smaller than these new locks. You will need a new nut or spring clip to hold the lock in. You may also need to file open the hole a little bit, I can't remember.

Here is a clip of how I changed the cart lock when I used this set of locks on my boxes.
The 5-drawer cart was a little more work. It's fairly easy as such, but the cams don't come with a retaining nut or tension spring, and the nut from the old lock won't fit. So today, I had to go to a (well stocked) locksmith to get a few nuts to fit the new lock cams. I got lucky, after 20min of searching through junk drawers, he found what I needed. ...............

Here is a link to a thread that includes how I used the 5 lock set on my 26" stack. Post #16.

Anyone know if these will work with the 56" box? The top and bottom appear to have different style locks, the area around the keyhole is much larger on the top

Good to know. I wouldn't mind something like for my Craftsmen boxes, I hate having 3 different keys for them all.
