Well here it is fellas. Getting the Migmax 215 dialed in. Not bad at all for a $600 welder.

Thanks. It will be all right there is a Lincoln invertech right below it. In all seriousness the synergetic settings as they call it are very accurate. This was mild steel 1/8” wall tubing and 1/8” sheet with argon/co2 mix.

I guarantee you could hand me the gun right after making those welds, everything set up perfectly, and I could manage to produce bird poop welds... it's a gift.

Thinking I might have to clip the coupon, on this one.

Always wanted a MIG, but the cost never jusfified by amount of use. My Weldpak 100HD (no gas) does not have a lot of power and the PowrKraft AC/DC stick Is just too much.

GF wants to learn how to weld and I can try some body panel work, which I understand is hard to do with flux wire.

Regarding good welding being " a gift", no doubt every concert piano prodigy in history, practiced hours per day - for years and although I could be wrong, it seems doubtful, the OP just took up welding, last week. :)

I've welded very little, so I go with "the bigger the blob - the better the job!" route. The welds look pretty horrid, but seem to hold.

Maybe this new welder, will get me to pratice more.
