Anyone know the story with Harbor Freight English Wheel Anvil kit and the planishing hammer? Both have gone missing from their website. Wife bought the English wheel for me for Christmas and said she couldn’t find the anvils in the store, and I went looking for them and they are off the site.

The planishing hammer is off the site, but they still have the stand on the site.

Jegs and Northern have a set of anvils, but not sure if they fit. They also have the hammer, but it’s a fair bit more than HF for the same Chinese set.

Low volume item I'd imagine they pulled for that reason.

Using an English wheel is a lost art

They also have a 120v blower/ventilator that's been sold forever, but the no longer sell the expandable hose for that either. Lots of contractors used them as manhole blowers but it's useless without the hose.

Tried to get a slide hammer for body work. It was in there ad and I haven’t seen it yet and that was a few months ago. They do carry the maddox but that wasn’t what I wanted

That’s why I want to do it! :)

Hopefully with the influx of new tools and 3 lines of quality/price, it doesn’t push out the unique stuff they offer that makes these things approachable for the average guy.

Seems like more and more stuff going away.

HF wheel kit went to closeout over a year ago. I tried a bunch of stores in a few states and none had old stock. Folks on EB want over $200 for them.

since they got rid of all the old drill presses, probably one of their better selling 'big machines' it's seemed somewhat likely all the rest of the 'big machines' in that section are getting a refresh.

Hmm, I walked through my HF a few days ago and they had one in stock. I specifically remember fondling it and wishing I had room for it. Or a use for it.....
