Harbor Freight Motorcycle Lift Table - Mobility?

I plan to purchase one of Harbor Freight's 1000 pound capacity motorcycle lift tables and have a few questions for those of you that have one. I will be using the lift primarily as a workbench and it would be nice to roll the lift around with it loaded. How easily can it be maneuvered around the garage with the lift empty? Are the wheels meant to support only the weight of the lift empty or can you roll the lift around loaded with 1000 pounds? If the wheels are only there for moving the lift empty has anyone replaced the wheels to 1. make the empty lift table easier to move around the shop and 2. to say have a motorcycle on the lift in the lowered position and roll the lift around loaded? All input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I roll mine around the garage with a cbr600 on it. It rolls ok on the smooth concrete floor. With the weight up it can be a little unstable though so make sure the floor is clean and you go slow especially while turning.

One of my friends has 2 of them and frequently moves them around his garage, often loaded with a Harley of sorts.

So is there a set of swivel casters on one end and two fixed on the other? OR. Is ther two fixed and a single axle lifting arm that you somewhat ballance the front of the lift as you pull it around? My Harbor Freight doesn't have the wheels assembled on the motorcycle lift table.

So do you think that in the lowered position that you could roll the lift table around with a bike on it and the casters not fail? It looks like the intention is to have the leveling feet screwed down so the weight rests on the levelers and not the swivel casters.

I just bought one of these last Wednesday.

$339. on deal w/ a coupon.

I uncrated it, filled the jack w/ oil, pumped it up and released it a few times and it works great!

No problems moving it around what so ever. If I was to move it w/ a bike on it, it would be easy enough to lower first, then move it. The bolts that attach the front casters are made of solder - watch out.

As the reviews said the front wheel stop is not very good and using a chock is a better idea.

Also, I sprayed some chain lube on the rear wheel axels before mounting the wheels.

I'd say worth every penny.

Do you have any pictures of your extensions for the four wheelers? I'm thinking about making some myself as well as something for snowmobiles. The same setup might work for both if I plan it right.

I roll mine around all the time with my motorcycle on it (on the center stand). My garage floor is glass smooth polished concrete.

you can't tell us this without pics! i've been thinking the same thing in my head. i think this thing would be great for small yard equipment/snowblowers and maybe even a golf cart

Have any of you had any issues with the lift moving while trying to ride up onto it? I got mine this afternoon and when I first went to put my bike up on it, the lift pushed forward a few inches. I had the leveler down, but not positive they were far enough down.

I've never rode onto mine only pushed but the heavier the bike the more it wants to move. I solved this by putting the levelers down onto a piece of rubber to give it some friction and haven't had a problem since.
