Harbor Freight Pole Saw Review

I needed to trim some branches that were rubbing against the cable run from the house to the street, so I picked up one of these: https://www.harborfreight.com/search?q=tree pruner

It worked OK, but only on small branches, 3/4" or smaller. The saw worked for larger branches, but was a bit whimpy and it was a chore to get it to saw through thicker branches.

I have the same saw and happy with it. I tried to look up the Oregon part # also but came up empty. It sure beats a manual limb saw with branches over a couple inches.

We carry one of the 40V ones on our rescue truck. Very handy.

I got the same one, going on 4 years now. No problems with it and I use to alot for tree trimming and such around the house and my neighbor.

As mentioned I didn't find a replacement chain yet but haven't really needed to replace it.

I always thought that the pole chain saw was a joke. Then when I was clearing part of my property, my brother brought this one over. It was an awesome saw.

So next time it went on sale, I picked one up. I have not regretted it once. I am watching the cordless one now since I cannot get to most of my proper with an extension cord.

The bar length number is prety standard in the industy. Same for a 17ft reach laddet only being 14-15ft.

I borrowed a electric pruner from my father. Its an electric chainsaw on a pole. Very awkward. That design looks better.

Bought this saw last spring. Have more than got my monies worth out of it. I have cut branches that were as wide as the bar was long with no problems. The weight of the saw does all the work. Keep it clean , sharp and full of oil.

Got an extra chain at Lowes.
