picked up some lights for an outdoor pond fron hf. about 1/10 of the price from hd. only thing is each light has it's own huge transformer . is it possible to join the lights together or can i buy a different transformer?

HF quality of all their products ****!!! I'd be damned if I'd purchase anything from HF that mixed electricity and water!!! Wow, just scares the hell out of me thinking all the probabilities of what will happen. You have pets or children??? if so, fence the pond!!!

In answer to your question, yes the lights work fine. I have used five for seven years in my Koi pond with no problems. You can run them all off of a single line to a different transformer, however you may well find out that the cost of a transformer that will handle the load will probably more than eat up the savings of the lamps. Total the draw of all the lamps on the circuit and find a transformer that will handle it.
