If it's the MAC coupler, yes. I think it was $20 or. I've had it for a couple of years and use it all the time. I've got about 6 small bottles that I fill off of my 2 20# tanks. It's nice to have full canisters before a trip and not having to toss them in a land fill. I'm not sure if it fills the small canisters as full as they are when you buy them new (fill depends on the level in the big tank) but I can't tell any difference than the way I used to use them.

Somewhere I remember hearing that if you put the empty propane tanks in the freezer before you filled them up, you could get more propane in. Has anyone else heard this?

I know we do this with Nitrous Oxide bottles. The Nitrous flows to the colder spot. You might want to get a digital scale to make sure you are not over filling the bottles.

I find that despite cooling the bottle to be filled, it takes much longer than the recommended time in the instructions to get a full recharge.

Another little tip I learned the hard way is to screw in the bottle to be filled, and then take it off after about 10 seconds, allowing it to be filled enough to be sure the valve isn't leaking. Nothing worse that a full bottle of propane with a leaking valve and no way to stop it.

Remember that the source bottle needs to be inverted.
