A lot of the stuff is still in the monthly catalog at "normal" prices. Of course, it says those prices are valid until 10/31, so it'll be interesting to see what happens next month.

While I did expect HF prices to creep up a bit, including due to metal tariffs, this has to be a temporary price hike due to covid interrupting supply chains and the resulting limited stock.

Has anyone actually gone into a store to see if these prices aren't a result of an online pricing error?

The 9000 watt generator is still $669 where as the smaller 8750 watt is almost $900 now.

The pricing makes no sense and is closer to their advertised normal not on sale pricing they always have to make it seem like they are a bargain.


Quick edit, I have heard reports that the in store pricing doesn't match the online, for example the Daytona yellow jack is still $200ish in store

I was just looking at the Icon long double box wrench set (i.e. the Kabo made “Matco”/“EZRed”/“Mountain” set) last night, thinking $199 wasn’t too much of a premium over the Amazon sets for an easier warranty... today they’re $249. So much for that idea - I’d rather spend the extra $50 for the Matco.

The only reasonable thing I can come up with is that this has to be a system error of some sort. The increases are just far too substantial not to be.

If I’m wrong, peace out HF. Absolutely nothing you sell is worthy of an overnight 50-150% price hike, ever, under any circumstance.

But hey...on the bright side...maybe now would be a good time to finally return my recalled jack stands you know, because $120 is the new $60 in HarborWorld

When you are selling Taiwanese extensions for only $11 cheaper than USA made Snap-On you have officially lost sight your original business model. This needs to be posted on as many tool and automotive forums/websites as possible to publicly shame them into doing the right thing. It sure worked with the jack stands.

Very thankful that a Northern Tool just opened up in my area today. Now I have a local option for good tools. HF used to be a place I would go to for deals on tools I didn't use a lot. Sounds like those deals just went away.

Pick out an adjustable wrench that doesn't have too much slop. They're pretty decent value about a month and 1/2 ago.

I was planning on picking up a second set of 1/2" Pittsburgh impact socket set, usually $24.99 (without coupon/sale) and when I checked this morning I noticed they had doubled in price. For that they can **** it.
