Hey guys I recently bought the harbor Freight model 68784 The 44" roll cab....

Anyway I ran out of room so my friend sold me a 44" cornwell top chest.

My concern is the weight, do you guys think the roller cab Will bow or bend from the weight of the top chest?. Its pretty heavy with no tools in it alone.

Anyone have a similiar setup?

Thanks in advance fellas

It can't be any heavier than my rollcab setup with the HF top chest and 2 side lockers fully loaded with tools.

I've had it this way about 6 months now with no ill effects

Also, can't be any worse then buying two, flipping on upside down, and stacking it for a top. I think you'll be surprise how stout it is. I just got mine last week. Krinkle finish used off Craigslist, and love it.

Speaking of which, who did the double stack 13 drawer box?

if you are constantly moving it across a rough shop floor, you may have an issue.
if it's parked in one place, i wouldnt think so.

im a tech in a shop, it will get heavy use, but itll be in one spot.

I was going to go back to HF and get the matching top chest, but i got this cornwell top for $20 bucks.. its blue but while roller is red but it dosnt bother me ill paint it eventually..

Which reminds me, the top chest is missing the keys for the lock, i was gonna just go to sears and buy a lock from one of there boxes and just do a little cutting if the latch dosnt match up. i dont really want to have to go threw cornwell to get one

The 44" top chest #68787 is going on sale April 30 2013 for $279.99 !!!! , the bottom roller cabinet 68784 claims over 2600 lbs weight capacity, it has 5"x2" rubber coated cast iron, bearing wheels. 68784 has ball bearing slides and very heavy gauge steel. Weight is about 290lbs.

Another nice feature is the optional side hanging 7drawer cabinet (2 of the drawers are double deep) and/or side locker which has two bottom drawers inside the locker and two removable shelves.
