In the past, I saw many name brand items on their web site, but figured they are probably drop shipped. Home Depot as everything on their web site as well.
It is interesting they have name brand items now, but it might get more people in the store. I only go to HF once or twice a year and they are all over. Much of what they have is **** or mediocre and I like pro grade tools most of the time. Some of their digital and dial calipers are good........good enough to use for reloading ammo and measuring parts for fab work or repairs. A friend has the 2000w generator and it worked well, but wasn't as quiet as the honda. The new toolboxes looked nice last time I walked down the isle. Like mentioned above, the prices are also higher on the better tools. I would rather buy a non HF brand if I can find a decent quality tool that will fit my usage and I like using Amazon. Tekton was a good choice for large impact sockets from amazon and tekton has the best air hose, USA made hybrid.
Sometimes HF has what I want, but sometimes big stores will carry low priced items that fit the bill when cost is priority. For name brand stuff, I will go where the price is best and I rarely go to HF. For people who go there all the time, it gives them more options and would get HF more sales.
