I was ordering myself a harbor freight 20 ton press. I got to check out and was hammered with a $96 dollar shipping charge. I have ordered large items from them in the past and paid the standard shipping rate. is this new? the nearest store is Fargo and I'm not driving there any time soon.
I guess Ill wait.....bummer.

At $2.30 a gallon for gas how far is it?
$96.00 might be a good price.
Also consider all that time on the road.

Re: Harbor Freight Shipping

I have ordered parts from them and the cost was very reasonable. But getting a few small parts is a lot different than getting a large heavy item.

It's normally six or seven 99 BUT if it's really heavy you pay the actual cost. It mentions this someplace in the doc's.

I'm going to continue to live without it. I'm not paying more than half the cost of the item in shipping nor am I willing to drive 3.5 hours for it.
