Looking to get this cabinet to put on the back side of my floor drill press. Any better deals than $189? I don't think they will take a 25% off since this is a tool box thing.

Thanks for the help.

Beyond what AndrewH posted, No, that is by far the best deal in side cabinets or a box that size going. Much sturdier than almost all of the older truck brand boxes and usually cheaper too. The next option would be the masterforce then upper end craftsman but at a higher cost. Just recently they have been putting those on sale sub $200.

Got mine for $169 a few weeks ago. First time I'd ever seen a coupon for it.

Same concept - going to make a base to roll it under my drill press - but the front side under the table.

Are the drawers able to be swapped so that you can have a larger one on top instead of the 2 smaller ones?

I contemplated getting a side box. i decided getting another 44, or a larger box makes more sense financially.

I'm fairly certain they are. I remember a member doing just that. See link

Thanks for that photo. Great news that will allow my 115 drill bit set to live in the now taller top drawer.

$/sq in on this,is not a great deal but it serves the purpose of just the right amount of space for me since my drill press lives on a mobile base and there is room behind the column for something like this.

Thanks to everyone for the help.

That side cabinet is just a few inches short compared to the 56 correct? Are the mounting holes the same space? I as well would like more pics please

I do but that profile is deceiving. A straight foward pic would show the mismatch alot better. My biggest fear is that I buy one and then a month later they come out with a matching side box for the 56

I don't see that happening. The side box will be the side box until they change the whole platform.

It doesn't match dimensionally and the lines will look off. If that bothers you, then well, keep looking.

Yeah I need to see a straight on shot. If it don't look like it's supposed to be there I wouldn't care for it

If you dont mind orange, and have bulks like cases going in it this is the cheapest.
About $135 after shipping.

I'll get a better straight on shot of the box tomorrow. It is just hanging. If you want to bolt it on you will have to drill new holes. It looks like it belongs unless you look closely.

Picked it up today I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out I'm gonna try to find a top surface that is close to mine to match

Here is that pic I promised. My side cabinet also just hangs. I don't put anything heavy in there. I would have to drill the side to bolt it. I know the garage is a wreck. I'm trying to condense 4 garages into one.

I just bought the 7 drawer side cabinet and want to put casters on the bottom. My plan is to add an MDF top and use it for my drill press. But, to mount the casters, I need to take out the bottom drawer. Much as I tried, is there some trick to getting the drawers out?

When you pull the drawer out, you will see little plastic tabs in the channel. One side - push the tab up, the other side push the tab down. As you do this, push the slide back into the box until you are past the stops. Repeat on the other side. Then remove the drawer. Easy peesy.

I'd add a plate or board on the bottom of the box to support the weight and use fender washers inside to spread the stress. The bottom of the box isn't built to hold up the weight that is transferred down the sides of the box.

only way to really get these cheap is if you find a scratch and dent, or kick the one your about to buy and they'll offer you 30% off... lol
one suggestion - is MAKE SURE you take all the packaging off these BEFORE you leave the store to check them.. i bought a side locker, and the first one they brought out was beaten up on one corner.. they offered me 30% but i just wanted one in good shape..

i know im not a pro - but i love my 44" HF box. heres a pic of some other guys - (i post this thing everywhere cause its such a good idea) i went with the top/bottom/locker combo - but i was considering this as well
