For mid range tools I thought that's what home depot, Lowe's and menards has been doing all these years.

Husky Cobalt, Black and Decker, Royobi. Not a big step up from HF. They do carry DeWalt , Bosch, Makita and Milwaukee. I will give you that. They have better stuff in some areas but also sell HF quality stuff too.

To me those are decent mid range except for black and decker. Dewalt, bosch, Makita are higher end in my opinion.

I had a bunch of HF locking pliers in my truck bag and needed to use them for someone's bumper as the bolt rusted and broke off. Snapped 2 of the locking pliers at the jaw and these were unused brand new. I went to my office where I had a Petersen Vise Grip and finished the job. Got that rusted stuck bolt off and a new one on. I emptied my bag of Pittsburgh and replaced them with USA Made Craftsman and some MAC.
