Anyone know what the color name or number is for the Harbor Freight 44" boxes? I'm going to paint some of my other cabinets the same color and trying to find a way to have the color made locally.

I was going to ask the same thing. I'm going to build cabinets around my toolbox and wanted to color match everything. Hopefully someone knows.

Take something to lowes they can match and mix paint. I had some made to paint some metal sideing

This. If you need a latex or oil-based paint for wood cabinets, either Lowe's or HD can match the color.

If the cabinets are metal, an auto paint supply store can match the color and make up a quart of enamel. Some auto paint stores can even make up or order a custom spray can of the matched color.

Just take a drawer in to one of these places and ask them to color match it on their computer.

I think the color is lead red, That being said take a drawer to your local hardware store and have them match the paint

I used a Krylon spray paint called "Banner Red" - it's very close. Then I shot a clear over it.

I'll post up pics soon for my new workbench. Turned out fantastic. Just need to buy a top and put it on.

I contacted HF and asked for a clor chip or color number, that flat said we have nothing for you. Guess the manufacturer is not volunteering. Guess I'll haul a drawer down to a paint shop for matching.
Thanks for the help.

A lot of the manufacturers are using a water base paint with good results, now. The first few years were a bit rough for the manufacturers, with peeling paint, etc. That being the case, Lowes, Home Depot, or a commercial paint store can match the color pretty easily.
