Does it look like it belongs on the 56" box, are there significant height or depth differences?

Yes. The depth is off by about 3 inches and the drawers don't line up. Its not a perfect match in anyways...

I was stuck on this decision last year and finally pulled the trigger on a 56". After a few months I went and grabbed another. Still need to make a frame and counter top. The biggest reason I went with 2 56" over 3 44" was the drawer depth.

Made a socket holder for it. The top may be messy but the sockets are good to go

Details on the socket holder? I know where you got the template, but did you route it in? What material, treatments, etc? Looks good

I just picked up the 56" toolbox on craigslist today and the very bottom large drawer may need the slide replaced on one side. Before I bought it, I looked online at reviews and the one con people mentioned was there aren't any replacement parts available. Any of you guys improvised or found a distributor that sells the slides?

I owned the hf 56" box with stainless top for awhile and the only reason I got rid of it is because I got a killer deal on a used snap on Krl box
