Ive seen several references in this forum suggesting that US General was an existing toolbox company HF acquired. Yet a recent thread led to research indicating that no toolbox company by that name previously existed, nor could I find any record in the USPTO database that any company ever registered the US General trademark prior to HF registering it in 2002.
In the interest of either validating or putting to bed any GJ urban legends, does anyone have any hard evidence that a US General company that made toolboxes existed prior to HF's 2002 trademark registration?
Another question that came up was if anyone knew the name(s) that HF's toolboxes were branded with before its use of the US General brand?
If you've got any solid info on these, please share it!
