Do any of you guys have the HF USG Side locker? I have the Gen 2 44" Combo and small side box now and very happy with the setup. I'm getting my garage back in order for winter and could use a little extra storage space.

If any of you guys have one, what do you store in it and how do you like it?

Pics would be great if you have them also.

I have one, I think it's good value if you need storage for or want to lock up bulky stuff. My 44 combo holds home improvement type tools so the cabinet is used store circular saws and other larger power tools. The large drawer at the bottom is nice since the 44 combo has so many shallow drawers. It also has a hanger bar/rod at the top.

Thanks for the info, that helps.

I'm wondering if the thread isn't getting much attention because nobody has the side locker or if side lockers just aren't popular in general. It seems like a good idea, but was hoping to get some more info from those with one.

I have one locker on my 56 and I love it, I'll probably add another. I like to keep my bulky stuff in there along with chemicals, paper towels, and that kind of stuff. I wish it was a bit wider and cake with 1 more shelf or at least the option to buy another shelf. Overall I think it's a killer value for the money.

I think you can call Harbor Freight replacement parts department and buy another shelf directly from them. If I remember correctly someone on here posted that they called and purchased some and there were like $30 a shelf. Those were the older versions 18 inch deep lockers, I don't know if they sell shelves for the newer 22 inch depth lockers, would not hurt to call and ask.

I have an older HF box, with a locker on one end and drawer unit on the other. The locker is invaluable for storing things like service kits, cased electronic/test equipment, etc. Wouldn't want to be without it.

Yeah I wonder how popular they are, personally I love them. I usually store some more tools in the HF than shown, I also have a larger snap-on with mostly cased tools

I have one. Bottom drawer, I keep some sheet metal shears, etc. One shelf, have some frame equipment pieces, and also keep welding helmet and grinding shield.

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that. If I end up needing one I will certainly try.

I am very happy with mine. I keep tools in cases and stuff like that in it. I fill the drawer with clamps.

Mounted my side locker yesterday and started filling it up. It works real nicely and fits in the space I had available.

I use mine to hold all my cordless tools / batteries, along with various tools that need to stay in cases (tap/die set, rethreader kit, etc). Pretty happy with the locker and it keeps the drawers in my main tool box free for other stuff.

Yep I have it and the side drawer set as well. They work great. I usually keep tools that have blow molded cases in it so they don’t take up space in the drawer. It is very sturdy and I highly recommend it. Also in the drawer it has in there I just have some spare tools like extra ratchets and screwdriver and a socket or two. I don’t have any pictures because we can’t take pictures at work so can’t help there.

Looks great, but can I ask why you mounted it with the door opening that way?

Thanks!! I had to flip the door because the Equipto box sitting beside it is way deeper than the HF box and the door wouldn't open far enough for the drawer in the bottom to open.
