That was a great thread! After reading that I have decided that I will be buying a 44" eventually. Can't wait! Just have to wait to have the funds.

I have the top chest, bottom roller, and a 7 drawer side cab in the older crinkle finish. They are great and well worth it.

Id Venture to Guess Harbor Freight isnt alone on this Boat Ride... How many times do you see a Brand New Members Join up and Give Rave Reviews on a Product or Brand and then seems to just Vanish off the face of the Earth? I suspect you should take Every Review with a Grain of Salt and this is No attack against the Review done by Mister Moose or am i accusing him of Anything it was a very Detailed Review. Im Just Saying that the Internet is Cheap Advertising.. and you shouldnt believe everything you Read, Regardless of the Topic/Brand at Hand.

Case in Point.. the Recent Ntxtools Debacle.. :lol_hitti

I fairly Certain that Most Manufacturers have a keen Eye on this Place..

I'm getting one this weekend. But first I'm gonna take it to a friend who owns a paint and body shop and have him paint it blue.

I agree... Not a huge fan of red wish they had other colors available. There is a thread on here of multi-colored tool boxes and someone painted one black and lime green... looked awesome!

HF should give all GJ members an additional discount on the 41" box.

Dan

This site is probably the one that convinces most people who do Google searches that their boxes are a good buy, that's for sure.

I buy some things at harbor Freight, some of their stuff is really good, and some of it isn't worth taking home. But if you do some research before you buy, and you know what you are doing, you can get some decent deals at Harbor Freight. I also check out Northern Tools from time to time, the same thing applies there too.

If I already didn't have a Snap-On box, and wanted my first toolbox, I would probably buy a HF one. Or an old Craftsman. I was looking at them in the store, and they do indeed seem to be fairly nice.

Maybe if we have some influence on giving reviews, they would also take feedback as well; different colors for instance.

I wonder if they'd be willing to use my review of their pneumatic body saw?

I hope the OP on the review got compensated for his review with HF just taking content.

Or at least gave his permission. I guess I'm not on favor of paying for a review because it sets us up for people giving rave reviews to **** products like discount sandpaper or pneumatic body saws....sorry, I'm still clearly bitter.

X2. I was reading through the responces and thinking after all the reviews, much less one that detailed, members here should get a discount. Even if they had a 200 posy requirement that way people just wouldn't show up, register, discount and leave. That seems fair?

I found GJ while researching these toolboxes. I was only ever at HF one time. I bought a few things but I never was going to go back. A few years later a friend of mine was talking about HF and how great these boxes were and I laughed at him. Well he went to get them and I went along. I was very impressed with the boxes for the value. So I searched on the internet for more info and found GJ. There was a lot of good reviews on here back then so I bought a top, bottom, and side cabinet in the crinkle finish. It was nice back then because I was able to use 20% coupons on everything and you used to be able to get as many free items as you wanted as long as you had coupons for them. I also ended up with a 5 drawer service cart because of the great reviews on here.

They quoted a public document and gave the necessary information on the source. It would have been nice if they got permission but they didn't need to.

It's a great tool chest and with the best coupons, it's a killer price.

Also, who is really looking at their blog? I didn't even know they had a blog until I joined GJ.

I'm thinking more like the color Hazet uses for their boxes. I need to research to see if there is a PPG# for the color or something close.

I want the 56" BAD.

Havent read any reviews yet, not that i need reviews. I look at it everytime i go into HF, its built the same as the other boxes. Hopefully they will have something even bigger some day like a 72" or something.

I just bought the 44" 13 Drawer Cabinet this week. A LOT of my decision was based on the reviews I read here at GJ... the rest was from walking around Sears / Lowes / Home Depot / Harbor Freight / browsing Craigslist and looking at every single cabinet I could look at. The 44" is a great cabinet, ESPECIALLY when you consider the cost.
