Looking at both roll cabs since my 27" stack box is getting too small. Both are in the same price range but which do you guys like better? The 44" HF roller or Husky equivalent? Also you can get the Husky top chest too if you catch it at the right time.

I can tell you that I just upgraded from my first box to a hf 44", the quality is amazing on the hf roller. I have spent quite a few hours on organizing my tools and getting everything nice. Good luck on your choice

The boxes that are at HD now with the Husky name on it are very light weight. If I were to chose between the two, I would go wit a HF box.

Thanks guys. I haven't been to HF in a while so I don't know what the boxes are like. I will have to check them out.

I have one of the large red HF roller tool boxes, its name is "General..." something or other.

I have enjoyed it for a couple years now and like the build quality but I'm a home, shade tree mechanic and don't spend Hours at a time depending on my box. That said, I did go through a few of them with the store manager making sure I got one that didn't come dented out of the box.

Be sure to check the units carefully, and remember, its HF...set your expectations accordingly and you'll be good to go.

Good luck,

Tre

I like my old, used Husky.

I probably wouldn't keep one of the new ones if someone gave it to me, though. I looked at one they had out for Black Friday when I was night-before-turkey-day shopping, and it looked stupidly cheap, light, and flimsy... no thanks.

The older Husky were made by the same company that made Mac economy line. I think they were made in Canada. I too have one of their older boxes, about 12 years old. Been using it pro for two years now.
