Anyone have an view good or bad on this club?

When was the last time a discount was given for a 56 or 72 box? Or does it happen to be listed on the latest club coupons?

Thanks

I don't think I've ever seen a ITC coupon for the tool boxes. The way I see it is, it's good to get it once and then you'll probably buy most of the ITC stuff you will ever want when it's on coupon and then you don't need ITC anymore. I had it for a year, bought a bunch of stuff and now I haven't really seen anything I needed that I don't already have.

I think you have to be a inside track member to use those coupons. That inside track member thing is kinda of a rip off IMO.. but hey if you find a saving that fits you, it might worth it.

If you buy everything in their store once a month, you save $5,800 a month with the coupons and it only costs $2.50 a month to be a member which works out to a savings of $5,797.50 a month. That is no lie. It even says so on the HF site!

I bought it because I was buying the E track for my trailer. With as many pieces of E track I needed and what I saved while it was on track, the savings paid for the membership plus some.
Now that I have it, there has been absolutely NOTHING that has come up worth buying. I would say it's not worth the cost unless you need a lot of items that are on sale like in my case.
I won't renew it.

I agree with the above. Once I bought most of the stuff I wanted the 20 % off coupons will pretty much match the price. The one thing that the club membership will save on is getting several things at once. When you live close enough to just drop by and get one or two things at a time the price is about the same. I joined for a couple of years and now just use coupons from magazines.

For the average guy the 20% and 25% off coupons will most times do you as good or even better especially for one time purchases.

I have the ITC for our business tool ventures. I use both those coupons, reg coupons and what ever percentage off ones I need when I do bulk purchases. Of course If your buying multiplies of an item you do get a saving on as many as the coupons allow as opposed to percentage off coupons which are usually only good on a single item. In our case we are not going to go back and forth to the store 5 times on 5 consecutive days to realize a savings.

It really just adds to more choices to mix if your buying a lot of stuff on a monthly basis Also ITC coupons are only good for the month of the catalog they come in. Some price deals you may never see in reg. catalog coupon but most can be easily matched. Other catalog and magazine ad coupons usually have much longer expiration dates from when they were issued too

Can't say you be missing out on anything really. :dunno:

Never seen a big tool box either.

Being 100 miles from their nearest store; I don't stop in often enough to benefit from a club membership for in-store purchases. Their sales items can be ordered online; but they have to compete with other online retailers, as well as local vendors. I do have some pet HF products, but don't buy enough to likely see any gain in having the club membership for online purchases, either.

I signed up for ITC and saved 4 bucks buying my 30x40 super tarp. ITC cost $30, instant savings for signing up of $34 or something like that. I had no coupon, so I'm now an ITC member.

I guess I'll see if it pays off otherwise.

Almost everything on the ITC coupons is not a better price than normal coupons, or it's worthless junk that they seem like they want to move.

I believe both the 56 and 72 boxes are on sale through the end of the month, no ITC needed. $650 is the cheapest they mark the 56 down too, not sure what the bottom price on the 72 is.

When I had ITC the coupons were much better than the normal price + normal coupons. However, if you don't need something you don't need it even on a discount so the rotating nature of the coupons means there wasn't always something good.

Best way to do it is get the ITC when it makes sense and an item you need is on sale for a decent discount on ITC... for example, the other day there was a slide hammer set and a bearing seating set on ITC sale, I believe the slide hammer was like 40 bucks down from the normal 70. The bearing seal driver set was similarly discounted... so, in that case, the amount you saved was more than the ITC membership....

However, as mentioned, when you factor in the 25% off coupon you could have used (those are few and far between though) the savings may not have been as much...

But, if you can justify it that way, it makes the membership fee non existent or close to it... then you just hope it pays off a few more times over the next year...

Makes the most sense for a guy just starting out in buying tools, or at least just starting to shop at HF to join though because obviously if you’ve already shopped there for awhile, your gonna likely own most of the stuff that goes on sale... which makes it a lot less valuable
