The first one should be the cart with all 4 drawers and not much work and same height the second is with all 6 drawers and I will have to add about 6 inches to height and alot more work. Already cut craftsman box up and have the 6 drawer drawer section ready to weld back together but looks awful tall? By the way tried to sell craftsman box for 2 years and the bottom door thing didnt work cause PO kicked it in before I got it. Thanks guys and gals.

P.s. - Craftsman box was unreal to get welds apart! about gave up but finally got it apart.

Have you welded the base of the craftsman box back on the 6 drawer portion you cut out. That would be my first step.

Then I would decide whether or not I want the corner sections of the HF box to extend all the way to the bottom portion of the 6 drawer box. If not just set the HF box on top of the Craftsman box, mark out the holes in the craftsman box to attach the corner pieces then secure them together with the bolts from the HF box.

If I wanted the corner sections to appear continuous to the bottom of the box, then I would replace them with some longer sections of thin angle iron or have a fab shop bend up 4 longer sections of sheet metal (that is all they are in the first place).
