Not sure if this is the right place to put this, it just popped up on CL. It isn't mine and I only know what is on the ad and is out of my current price range.

That looks like a "turret" lathe (notice that there is no tailstock). Good for repetitive production work such as drilling the end of a shaft, not so good for a hobby machine or home shop.
