i seem to collect hardware, nuts, bults, screws, pipe fittings, electrical fittings, etc. etc. you know, stuff! in order to not get totally overwhelmed with it all i built a 7' x 24' room lined with steel shelves to keep it all organized. shelves go to 12' high (ceiling is 13'-4"), there are 94 of them i think, 18" deep. i can keep all my cordless tools & plastic case tools in there as well since there is no room in my tool box for them. lets see your storage solution pics, i am always looking for better ideas.

I just picked up similar shelves. they are from a sawmill in their mill stores. Very easy to put together. I got 3 sections and 5 shelves per section. I am replacing wooden poorly built shelves.

For small parts storage I picked up a large yellow cabinet with plastic drawers in it called a "weatherhead" I will be seperating out all my bolts and fittings into that.

I will snap a pic of my shelves tonight when they are all set-up.

I also have a barn with old wood shelves in it for bulky parts storage.

Ya, I am building a 80x100 just for storage. I am going to empty another bunch of stuff from the shop. I like it as bare as possible, if I am not working on it or using it I want it out.

In this photo from my garage on the house, you can see to the left my roll around dorman box.......it is actually sixteen different 4 drawer dorman boxes welded together with a counter top and steel frame below with heavy casters.
It was in one of the shops when I worked for Penske years ago and when they relocated the shop I got it.....it is now full of fasteners, both aircraft and automotive, etc. Loaded it weighs more than a car as it was a pain to get it here when I relocated to michigan from missouri but worth it to keep it....... Steve, what are the details on those small screw guns you got sitting on your cabinet? They look pretty cool and I'm in need of a new one.
