I'm putting down "rustic" hickory flooring for my woodshop. Needless to say, rustic means lots of knot holes, cracks, and width variance. Anyone have any experience with the products on the market? Please advise.
Usually on the knot holes I use bondo tinted the color of the knot (dark brown/black) then for the rest of the floor the appropriate filler for wood floors. HD used to sell 1 gallon buckets of oak and maple floor filler. The maple would work for your hickory. Not sure if they are still carrying it. You may have to go to a flooring supplier to pick it up.
