Just wanted to share some of the changes I have just made to my bike.
After having my forty eight for a few years it's was time for a change. I looked at selling it & getting a new bike but then it hit me. For a lot less then a new bike I can change the feel / style of this one.

My idea is new :
Handle bars & grips, foot controls (mids), rear shocks, rear fender, wheels & tyres, exhaust & full colour change.

this is how the bike looked when I started.

Looks good, man! I have an '09 Nightster with quite a few modifications to it. Has an Edelbrock air-filter meant for a car custom fitted onto it, and I built new pipes for it a few years ago. They're fun bikes!

My tank had matte black vinyl on it for about 2 years & it was fine with fuel.

I think I will have the bike painted. Just not sure what colour yet.

More information on the vinyl wrap? Haven't seen it done like that before. Is it one piece on the tank, fender, and painted or?

Each colour is one piece of vinyl.

This is the blue going on the tank. It's just one big sticker.
Just google vinyl wrapping. Heaps of info about it out there.

Great job, looks really good
Sportsters can be fun bikes have taken a couple in on trade over the years and reworked them.
Like the way you went with this one though
How do those tires do out on the highway?
