Do Harley dealers sell tool kits to non motorcycle owners? I know this maybe an ignorant question but thanks anyway.

There used to be various tool kits available over the counter through the Harley dealers. I'm guessing their still is. Be prepared to see Harley dealer prices on anything with the Harley brand.

Motorcycle industry in general is a really tuff market place right now. Dealers are closing and HD a Corp plan is reduce inventory and production to gain market share and make the bikes more exclusive.

I am guessing you are talking Harley specific tools for specialized jobs?

If so make friends with an Indy who works on Harleys, as long as he doesn't think you are going to be competition he may tell you how to get what you need.

The dealer is attached by the umbilical cord to the mothership and any "harley specialized tools" are viewed as propriatary.

EDIT: I reread your question if you are talking about a general too kit that is just marketed with the Harley logo, I have seen them in their P&A catalog (on line) and they are rumored to be snap on...good luck

Need more information on what you define as a "tool kit".

I haven't seen a recent HD that has a "tool kit" like the old Japanese bikes did back in the early days.

Assuming that you aren't shopping for proprietary tools for specific jobs in the service of a H-D, it's gonna be much-cheaper to buy some H-D decals and slap 'em on whatever kit of tools you buy. I dunno why you'd want to spend excessive amounts of cash just to-get something with a H-D logo. Even their t-shirts are expensive!

Pretty sure they don't even sell tool kits in their bikes any more, at least my last one didn't come with one, probably because all most owners would do with the tools is scratch the paint, or poke themselves in the eye.

I don't know if they still do such things but HD is a big marketing game and collectables are part of it. I picked these up off eBay a few years ago and I know they were a limited run sold as collectables. The screwdriver, I'm not even sure where I got it.

The thing is, to buy from HD to use as a working tool is for the very well off. If they were to issue something similar today, I have little doubt they would be asking north of two hundred dollars for it. Likely more.

Some years ago I bought a Harley branded kit that was almost identical to that Cruz kit at a local Harley dealer as a gift. IIRC the price was pretty high.

I bought specific tools I needed to work on my HD, nothing special about them. IIRC Torx sockets were the odd thing I needed.
