Jim, I haven't had a dream about patterned floors for about 60 years. When my parents decided to finish the basement in 1956, Dad decided we needed a shuffleboard court -- a 12-foot long one. Had to cut the asbestos/asphalt tiles to fit the shuffleboard patterns and lines and it was rarely a one cut fit. We did learn to make the cuts a little generous (measure once, cut twice).

Bob, the house that I grew up in had the tiled shuffleboard court in the basement as well.
It was a sad day when the folks decided to carpet over it.
The carpet did make the family room more comfortable however.

Terry, my mother was 63 when she decided to retire and move to Florida to be near us. To update the basement playroom to sell the house she tried to have it carpeted. The installer arrived and said he wouldn't touch the floor because of the asbestos tiles. She had already paid for the carpet so rather than hire someone, my mother sat on the floor every evening after work and chiseled the tile up with a 1" Stanley wood chisel and a hammer. She was on the third chisel by the time she finished. The asbestos finally killed her when she was 96. It's possible the heart valves damaged from a bout of rheumatic fever had something to do with it but I'm going with the asbestos. If only she had been diagnosed with mesothelioma. :tantrum2:

Jim, apologies for the hijack -- please return to your regularly scheduled program.

Bob, no apologies needed here.
Pat and I have installed a ton of floors, lots of ceramic, and luxury vinyl, along with a **** ton of this vct stuff, I learned a long time ago that heating the tile was the only way to cut them. I just wish I had some knees!
Jayman, that is a pic of another lodge that I attend, they made everything in that room except the chairs.

Yesterday it was 75 degrees and clear skies so I cut back the banana plants and mowed the grass since they said it was going to rain for the rest of the week.

I'm looking for some scuppernongs to plant, they go with my muskadines, for making wine 😉.
Donnie and I cut about 60 ft. of pipe and a half sheet of 10 ga. steel for trike parts today, we plan on building three frames tomorrow.

Did a little axle set up today also.

The lodge is on hold until some folks get there priorities in order.

Nothing to report on the trikes, life got in the way again.
I spent Saturday scraping popcorn ceilings at the lodge, then ran home, got a shower and back to the lodge for the monthly business meeting. Going back today to spray the scrapped ceilings, and do some cleaning. There are supposed to be a couple of guys there to help!

I hate popcorn ceilings, they are dirty and full of spider webs.
I dry scrape with a 12" drywall knife then sweep with a stiff bristle push broom, then spray with a high pressure sprayer. They have an orange peel finish, not a perfect solution but much faster than wet scraping and slick finishing!

This room has the ceiling finished.

We hade eight people there today, we actually got some work done.

It rained all morning, we were supposed to go work on the lodge today, I made the first call and was told that we would meet at my house in about an hour!
So I worked on my trike again today, I fillet ground some of the welds,
20240315_173740.jpg
I fabbed a wheelie bar.

Dalton gave me this shock last year, he said he knew I would figure out how to use one shock somewhere, I guess he was right!

This cabinet was original to the house, originally it had five doors, but as I have stated before Pat has OCD very bad! So I cut it down to be symmetrical which allowed me to move the door opening to the right, which allowed me to make the kitchen cabinets on the other side of the wall symmetrical, 12 years ago, win, win!!! Anyway some of the trim on the cabinet was a bit rough so I pulled it off and cut some new pieces, while I'm at it I'm going to run the cabinet to the ceiling and add a crown molding. We are prepping some areas in the house before we repaint.

Today I started out working on the trike, I built a battery box and hold down,
20240320_134056.jpg
We'll need some 3" ¼-20 bolts.

We built a bracket for the front caliper.
Then Jeff called and wanted to go paint at the lodge, so I met him and Brent there and we worked there for about four hours,
Then I came home and mowed an acre of overgrown yard!

Now, I'm waiting for the charcoal to get hot, Pat already had the beer cold!

There tough, I don't think they care about snow,
My banana plants are up about 6" and we had a small frost, I'm a little worried about them. But not really!

This is the frame for my new welding table, I have a sheet of ¼" plate to put on top of the frame,
20240323_105551.jpg
I got some 4x4x¼ wall for the legs and cut them to length before I went to Donnies, we spent about four hours working on our trikes, we got the electric start kit installed on mine, and I worked on the seat brackets!

Had to go to Nashville today for a meeting at Grand lodge,
20240327_121356.jpg
I showed my buddies around downtown a bit, the lodge is near Broadway so we went to tootsies ****** tonk, I took them out the back door and showed them why it's the oldest and most famous ****** tonk in Nashville, the Ryman is 10' outside the back door.
It was a fun day but I'm tired!

I was sore today from all of the walking I did yesterday so I stayed home and worked on the pantry.
20240328_191158.jpg
Ì had some trim so I ran the cabinets all the way to the ceiling and added the trim.
20240328_191154.jpg
We put a coat of primer on everything.
20240328_191211.jpg
We primed the wall also, tomorrow we will put the second coat on the ceiling!
Now it's 5:00 somewhere! So!!!

It's been a busy week, but we have finished three trikes, then disassembled them and took the frames to powder coat.
20240404_165656.jpg
We also have two complete frames in the trailer, they will be sold as is for now.
20240404_122756.jpg
Next week we will pack four frames into boxes for shipping, then start final assembly on the frames from PC.
We have two weeks before our first show so we feel confident we will make it.
Today Pat and I are going to try to get the pantry put back together! She has been painting doors and trim all week, we want to finish this project this weekend.

Was not expecting to see a photo of the Ryman Theater popping up here in a garage thread. I went to see a concert there on a weekday from Louisville, so I only had time to drive straight there and straight back.
