you know I wasn't serious about you spending all that time on the grocery cart turned range rover, but i am looking forward to your pieces of two Chevys becoming one (AND with a 454 in it).

any tips on drywall mudding you'd like to share? I suppose if I did it all the time I could maybe be ok, but every 10 years and it's usually looking like a 5 year old did the work.

i'm starting to put on lighter coats and less sanding these days and unfortunately my bride doesn't like texture any more so i can't hid my flaws as well.

glad to hear the TORNADO didn't show up or maybe missed you even though the rain didn't.

have a good weekend and DON'T STOP!!

Absolutely 100 percent, I know you have been waiting for me to get started on the truck. I had a mind block going on with them, do I do the Ford or the Chevy first or do I build both at the same time. Well Randy solved that problem, he now owns the Ford. The brain fart cloud has been lifted and as soon as I finish a couple things the Chevy will get started.
My best tip for drywall is to let someone else do it.
My bil is a tight wad and wont hire a finisher so he will attempt to do it himself then call me to straighten it out when he screws it up.
Before I got old I really liked doing drywall and tile floors but the body says no now.
Good prep work is the key, it is so similar to doing body work. If your framing is straight and you hang your drywall tight then the mud work is thin and easier to finish, if its sloppy and loose then like bad metal work you are filling gaps and holes. No fun!
We were lucky with the weather it never pulled together like they were saying, thank God.

Yes it was, I had those two hopping all day, they referred to me as the curmudgeon, under there breath of course. lol

You speak the truth! I’m still working, but if I wasn’t, there plenty to keep me busy.
It does seem like we’ve all have heard of guys retiring, not doing much and then there gone. I view us as good old machines, the worst thing for them is sitting around and going to $hit.

Then we think it’s cool as hell to put lots of HP on a child’s toy.:lol_hitti

They had a blast, they sat out in the Gazebo until it got too cool. They didnt want to build a fire in the pit so they all went in Kay's trailer and played Uno till the wee hours. I was asleep before that. It's nice that they can go out there and have a good time.

I went to lunch with Dalton and his Uncle Mike today so Dalton could introduce us. Mike has a saw mill and is in the process of buying another larger saw mill. He is going to need some welding and modifications made to some containers so he has a perminate place for them. I have some very large cedar trees a walnut and many 60 ft. Pine trees that need to be cut into boards.

I’d like to see that walnut getting cut up. I just planted a Black Walnut in the corner of my property two years ago. It’s really growing fast!

Sounds like the saw mill connection will be beneficial to both of you. I like it when things work out that way.

Sorry to hear the F-100 went down the road.
Really glad I didn't know it was for sale!
I'm not a Ford guy, but I do like that era of their pickups

Hey Terry
I just left you a message on the other thread.
I'm hoping that it works out with the saw mill, I need some 18' 4"x 8" timbers for the next addition on the shop, I want to put a 17'x 26' addition on the back for the blacksmith shop. The design will be open like a pavilion, no side walls. The Man made me an offer I couldn't turn down on the 70 F100. I have two Ford trucks and a Dodge for sale, nothing old left.

Mine is still a little sore, and we (Robin and I) got our shots early Monday. Robin had no other issues. I had a pretty big headache, but nothing a Tylenol didn't take care.

Yeah, we got the Pfizer, made right here in Michigan. You'll probably be firing all 8 today. Just don't touch that spot and you'll be fine. Good luck in dodging the storm.

The weather man keeps saying that around 9:00 tonight it's going to get rough, the storm that killed three in Alabama is due here at that time. So we went to the basement and cleaned it and moved furniture around so that its away from the windows. The girl across the road is home alone with a toddler, her husband is working out of town so she may be here if it gets bad, didnt want a mess with the little one there. Had to go to the store and get milk and bread, not like when it snows, we were out. Finally got to the shop for a while before supper so I reworked the wiring harness on the speedy cart so that it will fit the new location of some of the components.

This is where the plug for the joy stick will live now. The distance from it to the right motor plug was about 1" too short for the original harness.

I desoldered the wires and added about 12" to the leinght of each of them, then shrink tube and electrical wrap to finish.

It all fit well. Now I have to trim the wires for the dual bank charger and get it mounted.

I swear it rained about 2-3 inches here last night too. I hope you only get wet and no huge wind or trees flying around.

Nice work on the scooter!!

Good luck tonight

Glad to see you made it out the other side with no issues. Maybe everyone should get together at your place and create some issues.
