Finished at the lodge today, we have some cushions that were in very bad shape so I made three new ones this morning.
20210409_123303.jpeg
I cut some wood from the church benches. They are 17"x 24"
20210409_131807.jpeg
I added three inches of dense foam then covered it with memory foam.
20210409_135018.jpeg
Cut three pieces of cloth.
20210409_135136.jpeg
Stapled the middles then worked it to the corners.

20210409_135241.jpeg
When you get to the corner you fold pull and staple.

The finished shot didnt come out so I'll get it tomorrow

I love rolltop desks... all those pigeon holes and a way to cover up the mess when you want it to look nice in the room. Awesome!

My dad has my great-grandfather's rolltop and I asked to be next in line from the family to get it. My dad even has the 1920's Sears and Roebuck catalog page showing it and its features.

Have fun with that one!

Thanks X
I was at the lodge at 6:30 yesterday morning till 3:00 back at 6:00 till 8:30 long day, I worked on my speedy cart cushions for a while today, I tried to start my sewing machine and the clutch is stuck so me and the bil moved it to the fab shop so I can pull the clutch and linkage out and fix it.

The bottom and the back
20210411_130734.jpeg
The arm pads
20210411_130813.jpeg
I had to glue some foam together to make it fit. All the foam was recycled from the church benches
20210411_211047.jpeg
I like to apply muslin to my foam before I apply the vinyl
20210411_211057.jpeg
The joystick wire passes through this arm so it will be a trick to get the vinyl around it, I dont want to remove the connector on the wire but I may have to

It is comfortable, I'm hoping it fits ok

I got the sewing machine moved
20210411_211144.jpeg
It's a good sewing machine, I used it to build consoles in emergency and rescue vehicles when I lived up north
20210411_211207.jpeg
This is the clutch it should be a cork lined disk, I haven't been into it yet.
20210411_141830.jpeg
I also powder blasted Pat's humming bird feeders
20210411_220006.jpeg
Then they got a paint job
20210411_211342.jpeg
Had to get out the Bob Ross paint kit

They are back here also. If I had known these were as rusty as they were I would have painted them last year. I'll let them dry for a few days before I put them out. Pat has three out and we have been watching them fight over the feeders already. I told her to buy a couple new ones and maybe they all could get a drink.

Anytime X [emoji106]

I finished the block on the planter in the front yard today, it finally dried up enough. I also hauled some fill dirt in to fill it and bank some along the outside. I'm going to go to Sweetwater later this week and get some top soil in the dump trailer to fill the low spots in the yard and to top off the planter.

Going to use pea gravel in here.

Pea gravel here also.
20210413_181224.jpeg
This is the back yard, the a/c is to the left in this pic. Had to dig the plants out fill with dirt then replant the same plants.
20210413_123610.jpeg
I put five tee post five inches away from the inside of the block and put two courses of 5/4 board to help hold the weight of the dirt back.

20210413_181317.jpeg
Put about two yards of fill down to regrade the yard, I will add about two inches of top soil and seed it.

Getting close.

It's time to wear out that rocking chair.

I have to make sure I look at these landscaping pictures when my wife isn't nearby. She would see how nice they look and expect the same at our place. Very nice job!!

HJ, I think the planting beds look really nice. Those retaining wall blocks you are using are better looking than the many other styles that are out there.

Thanks Drives, not too much it's raining right now.

We installed the last piece of hand rail today, it's on the back patio. Of course the pic of the old railing failed, it was that black bolt together stuff that you get from lowes it was rusted pretty bad.
20210414_131331.jpeg
We drilled and jack hammered the two holes for the new railing.
20210414_153738.jpeg
We leveled the rail both ways, put blocks under each end and clamped it to the stairs. Then we poured the holes with expanding hydraulic cement.
20210414_185538.jpeg
This was two hours later after the clamps were removed.
20210414_185551.jpeg
Now all of the railing matches.
Another job off the list.
