HJ, just curious if you have ever listened to the radio show “Swap Shop”. I think it is broadcast somewhere in TN. There is a show on Netflix with the same name that shows people buying things that they heard of on the radio show. I watched 1 episode of the Netflix show and wasn’t that impressed but I thought the idea and story behind the radio show was interesting.

We had a bunch of feral cats kill all of our chickens. They left the ducks alone. The feral cat population is in decline now.

We used to have a couple of feral cats, I think the coyotes and hawks take care of most small animals here. A friend about three miles away loses a lot of chickens to them. That's why I built the chicken condo. I would like to put a flight pen on the front eventually.

I was able to get all of the new floor joists in place, got the drains and vents installed, and roughed in all of the water lines.
I pressurized the water system at about 7:00 tonight, if it holds tomorrow I'll put the floor in.

The po, p.o.s. used 2x4 floor joists, who dose that, I know the guy, he will get a piece of my mind the next time I see him.

This was the most difficult space to work in.
If it were mine there would not be a bathroom in this space.

Tony, no it is completely unaccesable, if some critter were to chew a hole in the pex you would have to cut the floor out to get to it.
I know some probably wonder why I'm so down on my bil all of the time and why I dont like going there to help. This is why.

Makes sense Jim, He should have put more forethought into the access.

I got a bad start today, woke up at 4:00 with my stomach flopping, turned the coffee pot on at 5:00 spent the morning on the phone with BCBS and a couple of different suppliers.
Finally got outside, got the forks on the tractor, hauled a clawfoot tub to powder coat, hauled a dog box from the neighbor's to my place, also hauled my cherry picker back home,

Hauled the rest of the flooring planks to the back porch and stacked them inside.

Now they will be there when I am ready to do the cieling.
Tomorrow I'll get one of the trucks in the shop and get started.
Kirk, got the jeep with the misplaced spring perch, the Superduty with the massive oil leak, the Dodge ram with bad head gaskets, and the GMC that lost brakes, that's four of the five I have plates and insurance on.
Uncle Willie, not this week.
Strouty, were all amateurs compared to you. I cant wait to see what you do with that load of racks you just hauled in.

I made a couple of decisions today to start listing some of this stuff on marketplace. So far I listed the steam cleaner, the 2005 Dodge pickup and the speedy cart. Im sure more will be listed as I go.

I need to get my act together and start listing things for sale, I was so busy with prepping for winter that I hadn’t thought much about selling things and thanks to the Rona, I haven’t brought any amount of stuff to the auction in almost two years.

Hope it is just the oil line.

Ok, I got almost eight hours in on cleaning, I asked Dalton and Joe to come over and carry four 12' sheets of drywall to the basement and stack some 12' countertop blanks. That allowed me to put one more shelving section on the left wall. I filled a 50 gallon trash can and a couple of boxes with trash.

I'll make a dumpster run in the morning.

This is where I left it tonight.
The shopping carts are going out tomorrow. I could fit the Jeep in now but I'm in the mood so I'm going to keep going.

Larry, I've got a few of them and I plan on finishing all of them eventually, I told everyone here that I was done working on there houses that I have retired again so I can finish my stuff/play.

I've collecting this stuff since I was a young man so I would have things to play with when I got old, well I'm old, it's my turn.
Strouty, I bought an enclosed trailer a couple of years ago, I put things I want to sell in it and the first full weekend of Sept. we have the Hwy. 411 yard sale, I set up at our lodge every year and sell most of it there, I dont want to sit on these big items all year so I did list them on marketplace. I'll just have to deal with the jerks that come with it.
hoping like hell it's the oil line.

I'm about ten steps behind you. I can see floor inside the shop, enough that when I pulled the truck out and the daughter's car in to do a wheel bearing I had plenty of room. It's our turn, and we've earned it .

I got a good 10 hrs on it today. The cart was stacked full of containers of mixed stuff that I have just been piling up for a long time, I sorted all of them into like containers and put most of it away, tossed another 50 gallon can of trash again.
20220106_181613.jpg
That large gray tote is full of containers that I emptied today.
20220106_185459.jpg
I was running laps with the speedy cart.
20220106_184855.jpg
I've got about 100 rolls of wire all over the shop.
20220106_185135.jpg
I gathered some of them and started putting all of them on one shelf.
20220106_185131.jpg
I'll finish gathering and stacking tomorrow.
This is starting to get real good. I'm really having fun doing this.
It rained all day so I wasnt able to move things to other buildings for storage, maybe tomorrow.
