Michael I dont think so, it seems to be seeping in at the NW corner and is only wet on that corner. It has dried out in between rain events so it has to be following the foundation somewhere.
The ground here is mostly churt and clay that is almost churt. It has veins in it, I'm thinking about putting a perforated pipe around the edge of the patio to help drain the water down hill.

I went back to Josh's house to help finish the cielings.

This is the front porch, they still need to buy trim boards but the heavy part is done.
20220608_141154.jpg
There is a bit more work and some trim to do in the house.
20220608_111858.jpg
There is a tiny knee wall at either end of the loft to be finished.

Whitley was playing tag with Freddy Fred, her billy goat.
We took the scaffolding down and put it in my truck.
20220608_143250.jpg
Then we had to come to papaw Jim's and get a popsicle.

We brought Brentley with us also, he is big brother, and the most polite gentlemen at all times.
I'm done for today, tomorrow it's back to the carport.

It was a good day Uncle Willy, Haley is as good on the chop saw as anyone I have worked with, with two people cutting and two nailing it went very fast. The electrician was able to get the new meter head installed and turn the power on, last night was the first time I have ever seen the house lit up since I have lived here.

Kirk they were sold out back then, but I have one with your name on it just waiting.
Whitley is a joy to be around, she dosnt know the meaning of the word " shy " and she always asks lots of good questions. She likes swimming in the creek.

At three that's the only setting they have. 👍

Got ½ of the carport wall done today.
20220609_160344.jpg
Pat and I set up some scaffolding.
20220609_141357.jpg
I bolted a 2x6 to the carport and set some boards on the scaffolding then took a scissor jack and jacked it up.

It's kind of hard to sort out with the scaffolding in the way but there are now two legs and the bottom rail that normaly would be on the ground is at the top now, the three bay openings will be 11' 6½". Pat said she could power slide her Jeep through that sideways. We hope to finish the rest tomorrow.

Tony, I got way too many hours in this project, I told her to find some traffic cones. Lol

Kirk, got a lot closer today.

Drives, it is aggravating but I will figure it out,,, somehow!
Those kids are my new neighbors, they are great little people.

I started today by washing one side of the carport while I had the scaffolding set up.
20220610_102451.jpg
There was tree sap on it from setting in the woods for two years, it was stuck real good.
20220610_114041.jpg
That's as far as I could reach, time to move the scaffolding.
20220610_121630.jpg
Now you can see the finished first half, we got the framework completely finished and the east side washed but it was too dark to get a pic. It's going to be nice.

It's not me its Pat, lol.

We planted an azalea and a muskidine vine this morning. Went to the grocery store and a friends 70th birthday party, kind of wasted a day but I'm pretty sore so I guess it was ok.

I made Alice a cross for her birthday gift. She said she liked it because it was made for her and no one else had one like it.

We are going to clean the chicken coop in the morning then move the scaffolding and start on the back side.

Whether it's Pat doing, helping, or motivating, you certainly are getting it done. And if you don't take down time, you end up moving at a snails pace, for one reason or another.

Kirk you know how it is here, me and Pat are a tag team. We took it easy yesterday and today, but we will be back at it tomorrow.
Don it is coming together really nice. The concrete is two weeks out, and once I get the bricks resurfaced Biggen will come and finish the stucco.

I got the chicken coop cleaned out and washed down all of the equipment this morning then I needed to mow the grass, by that time the Daughter and SIL showed up, they were picking up a puppy from Whitley.

It's a great pyrenees and mountain cur mix. They are fantastic farm dogs, they will fight off any predators that try to mess with there animals. Charlie has about 200 chickens and about ½ of them are free range so this dog should work well with his other farm dog.

A little update on the cactus, I transplanted several nopales from the big cactus that fell over, I put them out by the road and they are looking good, I think all of them made it so far.
We didn't get a chance to work on the carport today, we will get back onto it in the morning.

Josh is the guy that bought the property across the road, he has about a dozen hog dogs, polt and cur, the grate pyrenees, a plot hound(that is not part of the first pack), a blue healer, a red lab, and a border collie. I have noticed considerably less coyote activity around my house, we have three chicken brooder houses behind my property, I think he said 50,000 birds per house, so we will never be without coyotes but they are keeping themselves over the hill now. So I tolerate the barking.

Park brake is a funny name! I know a fellow in Australia who's pet name for his wife is "Hand Brake". It's hilarious! He posts a lot of videos, with her in them, and she seems to like the moniker.

See you on the 22nd Shorty,

Michael, a women named hand brake makes me laugh, I need to find Pines and tell him this. He calls the dog that because when they are hog hunting that dog will latch onto a hog and park him right there.

Willy, the brakes went out on Ma Brown, I'm going to tear into it in a few days to see what happened.

It was too hot to work today, I tried but my glasses kept filling with sweat. It was 98°

We went to Lowes yesterday and got 5 gallons of ugl drylock and a bottle of pretreat.
Pat had to take Kay to the dentist this morning so I spent time programming some new cctv cameras. I got one of them installed.
20220616_173732.jpg
I bought six of these cameras, should cover the place well.
Then I went to the coal room and started grinding the walls with a drill and wire cup,
20220616_153939.jpg
Then I remembered that I had a much bigger wire cup that would fit my angle grinder, so I cut loose with that, there was a cloud of dust so bad I couldn't see what I was grinding, so I ground by braille. After about ½ an hour I had to take a break, then we vacuumed the walls and floor.
20220616_153934.jpg
For reference the lower blocks were ground in this pic. We were removing what they called effervescence, the pretreat said to remove as much as we could, then we will need to wash the walls with the pretreat and a steel brush then rinse well. I had to quit because it was getting hard to breathe.
So a very long shower, a glass of Ice water, and a recliner were prescribed.
Tomorrow I'll look at it and decide what the next step is.
