Nice job on the switch cut out. Looks like it was very fussy work.

I used the angle grinder and cleaned it up with a burr in a dewalt drill, it beats having a box sticking out. I like flush!

Went to Athens and picked up a couple of mobility scooters, then I went and picked blackberries.

I got about a quart but they arnt really ready yet, lots of red ones. They are running late this year.

It's kind of thick out there

Victoria has been picking blackberries for a couple of weeks now. They are everywhere here.

We got one of those ice cream maker attachments that goes on the mixer, it makes about a ½ gallon batch, add blackberries and it's so good.

I got to work on the carport today, finally!

I got a couple of outlets installed. The smaller conduit with the yellow insert is for a cctv cable that will be added later.


I got the switch cover installed.
I also finished installing the rest of the bird block off plates, then I moved the scaffolding to the west side so I can get that side washed, I washed about half of it and Pat rang the dinner bell so I quit for the night. I hope to finish washing it tomorrow, then I can get rid of the scaffolding and clean up. I'll get Josh to bring in a load of crusher run to dress the driveway and this one will be done.

Its 20'x 35', its taller than stock, we added height for the camper that used to live under it.
Yes kirk for now, I sold the 05 Dodge so y'alls truck will eventually live in the shop and it will be the Jeep, Pat's F150, and my superduty. It's going to be strange having everything under roof.
The lights are great, I had one in the other carport so two has to be better. It dose feel good to get to the end, I forgot to say that I have to slightly move a couple of conduits for the generator, it will be in the third stall with the jeep.

As usual there are (little things) to finish but its ready. We are going to go tropical with the landscape on the front side where the banana tree is at, we are going to Georgia today to a veggie farm, Pat's looking for things to can, I'm looking for plants,


I'm looking for canna lilies.

Need a couple of fig trees.

Then I need Shorty to send me a couple of palm trees,

We got the new coal room floor poured this morning, Pat said she would like to go to the amish store up by Etowah instead of going to Georgia so off to the land of horse and buggies.

52: as Jim might be on the road I’m guessing that blue spot still needs to have an inch of cement put on it cause it’s original floor.

Jim: great job on the carport and all the extra details you thought of. Eliminate the bird perches or nesting possibilities, lighting and with motion sensors a back up switch (excellent cut out btw) to turn them off and looks like it keeps three of your rigs out of the hot sun too.

I know you’ve got a ton more of projects before and after pics cause even on your days sitting around or doing road trips or charity work you’re thinking on ways to keep improving. We have one fig tree and always look forward to them being ripe and delicious. Best of luck on your plant finds.

Drives got it right, that bluish color is a concrete bonding agent that I applied before adding the 1" of new concrete. It's kind of a dark space in there and the pics play tricks on your eyes. I'll get another shot of the finished floor.
We have several amish communities around here, none as large as what you all have up there, yours are the largest in the states. I'm kind of disappointed in what they had to offer for produce, a lot of it looked like it was commercially grown and walmart is cheaper on some of the items.

Drives, thank you for the kind words. I took a load of parts to powder coat yesterday and I will have to assemble all of it when Dalton and the boys get them done. And yes there is pleanty on the list to get to, I'm going to let the floor cure for a couple of days then the room will get painted with block sealer. In the meantime I'm going to get back to restoring the steps and other concrete related items outside.
